I was nine months pregnant and in nesting mode, and I built this crib all by myself within less than an hour. It was Quick and easy and once I was finished it was beautiful and it looked very elegant. It is a great crib!!!!!
Very sturdy and easy to put together. Highly recommended!
We're extremely pleased with this crib and it's quality. Very sturdy and gorgeous wood finish. It matches the other cherry Storkcraft furniture we purchased. The drawer is a bit shallow, but will likely only hold spare sheets and blankets. The side rail moves easily with one hand and a knee and both sides have teething guards. My husband surprised me by putting it together by himself when I wasn't home. He said it didn't take long at all. Excellent value! Definately higher quality than the matching Storkcraft combo unit we purchased.
The crib is beautiful. It took my husband approximatly 45 minutes to an hour to put together. The instructions were not very helpful, but it was just common sense. It is a wonderful addition to our daughter's room.
We are very happy with our purchase of this crib. We liked the look of the Riley better than many other cribs as we wanted a dark cherry and wanted open slats on the end - I personally thought the "sleigh" type cribs just looked too heavy and bulky. We thought this crib had a nice color and seems very sturdy. We haven't used the drop down side much as our baby is still young but it seems to work just fine so far. I think it looks more expensive than it was and I have recommended this brand to friends - we also bought the aspen changing table and 5 drawer chest and the glider and the woods all matched with no problems.
I ordered this crib just over a week ago and it arrived yesterday. All the pieces were included and the crib is just beautiful! The color of the wood is gorgeous...the picture doesn't do it justice. However, the headboard and footboard were both damaged. The inside of the box says to not return item to store and to call regarding any missing or damaged pieces and they will send them to you. So, I called this morning and they just asked a few questions and told me the pieces would be shipped to me. The only down side is that it will be 3 weeks to process before the new pieces are shipped. I ordered the crib way in advance (I am 17 weeks along) just in case something like this would happen...so I am glad I did! I would definitely recommend this crib to anyone else...it looks great and is budget-friendly. But, I would also recommend that you not wait till the last minute to order it incase you need to order or replace parts.
The only problem we had with this product is that there were parts missing. We had to order them separately and the crib was needed. Very frustrating. That's why we wouldn't recommend the company that makes the product.
I was so dissappointed with the item I received. The headboard had a large splinter out of it exposing bare sharp wood. The drawer bottom was broke at the corner and one of the drawer rails was broken. Customer service was helpful to replace and send parts (from Canada) but the time frame was supposed to be only 3 weeks. 3 wks. later I was calling checking the status of the headboard to see when it would arrive to find out it would be 3 wks from availabilty, which nobody would be able to verify for me, and had no intentions of trying to verify. At that I went on mission to find a quality hardwood crib to replace this storkcraft item. The item would have been nice if it would have been manufactured with out defects. The color of the cherry finish was pleasing, and the cribs general apperance was nice, but the replacement process would be overwhelming if you had a time crunch.
