This product seems to have just about everything you could be looking for in a fuel addative, and that was the attraction for me. My current vehicle is relatively new, less than three years old, so I decided to find a fuel addative that will keep my fuel system in good shape BEFORE problems began. This STP Ultra 5-in-1 seems to promise just what I am looking for. It is formulated to save gas and lower emissions by deep cleaning the entire fuel system. It lubricates engine parts such as piston rings and cylinder walls. It claims to restore peak performance, reduce friction, and inhibit corrosion. I was particularly interested in the claim that it will prevent ethanol deposits since ALL the gas available in my area are blended fuels containing up to 10% ethanol. While I applaud the use of renewable fuel sources to preserve natural resources and reduce our dependance on foreign oil, I feel that it's a good idea to protect my car – a major financial investment – from any possible damage or build up that might lessen performance. It is also easy to use since you simply add to a gas tank that is at least half full and will treat up to 35 gallons. They advise you to use at every oil change or every 4,000 miles. Since improved gas milage is the only claim I can quantify I have calculated my current gas milage without the product and will recalculate it after the product has been used. Only time will tell if it lives up to it's promises. Let's hope so.
When I received the STP Ultra 5-In-1 Fuel System Cleaner, my husband took it out and poured it into the car's gas tank. When I asked him upon returning home from town, how did it do, was there a noticeable difference, he said, IIT did great! Made the engine appear to run smoother. He liked it very well. So, I would say, yes, I recommend this STP Ultra 5-In-1 Fuel System Cleaner.
My vehicle gas tank holds 20 gallons of fuel, so I filled it up to half which is 10 gallons. Then, I added 3.5 ounces for 10 gallons, because 12 ounces is used per 35 gallons of gas. My vehicle has had slow starting after the initial start and drive to the store. Following shopping, I get back in the car and turn the key and it will not start right up for a while unless I step on the gas pedal which I did not used to have to do. The first start of the day, I do not need to give it gas. Now, after using this STP Ultra, my vehicle is starting right up after I shop and come back to the vehicle, no matter how many times I stop. I am happy it works so well, and it is good for my engine. Then, after the gas tank got low, I filled up the tank and added the rest of the bottle of STP Ultra to continue and give my vehicle's fuel system a repeat cleaning. Twenty gallons of gas worked well again with the remaining 10.5 ounces of STP Ultra. Although 0.34 ounces per one gallon of gas is equal to the 12 ounces for 35 gallons of fuel, the directions say adding one bottle to at least a half a tank of fuel is okay to do. This fuel cleaner treats 35 gallons with 3 times more cleaners than what is already contained in 35 gallons of fuel and it appears to work very well in my vehicle.
I noticed that about three months ago, my older minivan had started running not-so-smoothly anymore. It would randomly start chugging weirdly instead of driving along. I did some online research and they said that ethanol mixed into gasoline can cause a car to develop problems after many years. I wasn't sure how I could clean up my engine? I put in three different fuel treatments, at different times, with no improvement. I got the spark plugs changed -- no improvement. That's when I tried STP Ultra 5-In-1. It's really easy to use -- you just pour it into a gas tank half-full or more (mine was actually on a quarter tank, so I poured in about half.) I was unsure if it would have any impact at all. And yet, to my total surprise, it helped. I haven't had a single chugging incident since. I am really pleasantly surprised. And relieved! So I would suggest if you have issues like mine, you might want to try and use this fuel treatment, preferably BEFORE your car starts running with suspiciously ominous chugging. But even if it already is, this just may be the miracle you're looking for. Really glad I tried this gas treatment!
Is a formula cleaner 5 in 1 oil. Cleans fuel system use at every oil change. Or 4,000 miles it says. It helps on saving gas. Reduce friction. Lubricates engine parts. When to apply this oil needs to be half of the tank this bottle treats up tp 35 gallons. Is good to try on any car.
Noticed a difference almost immediately in acceleration - caught me by surprise actually.
I usually fill up twice a week. I drive 21 miles each way to work and home and it cost a lot. I tried this product, thanks to the Walmart Spark Reviewer team, and was pleasantly surprised. I filled up once per week after using that product. My car ran smooth and the gas lasted longer than usual. It has been a week, and I still have a quarter tank left. I have to admit that I did an oil change and changed the filter in my car that same week so I am unsure whether all that together helped. However I have had oil changes and my gas has never lasted that long. I recommend this product to everyone with a vehicle. It is great. This product deep cleans your fuel system and lubricates your engine parts. I recommend this to all my friends and family. Great brand, great product.
great product but was delivered leaking package don't know why the delivery person cannot smell it it stuck everywhere quarter of the bottle had leaked out so I how to get a refund
My truck has been exhausting white smoke every time i start it lately. It was only doing it occasionally, but kept getting more noticeable. I have tried "heat" and the regular STP gas treatment, but neither seemed to make a difference. Although I have an appt already set up, I wanted to see if this did anything. It's only been 2 days, but so far, it has disappeared. Maybe this stuff is actually better and worth the extra $?? So far, I am very impressed.
This STP ultra 5 in 1 fuel system 12oz cleaner is very similar to what they offer me every time at the oil place when I get my oil changed, except much cheaper to do yourself! It says it should be done every time you have an oil change so it's easy to remeber when you need to do it. It's simple to use and the cap twists off easily and there is a small plastic cover that's easy to remove as well. All you have to do is pour it into a full tank of gas and let it do the rest of the work for you. Honestly I havnt noticed much difference in fuel use but it has to be good since they ask you to do it at the oil change place too. It's supposed to remove gunk and help your car run better and more efficiently and though I can't really say it does, I am simply happy I got the same product with much less of the cost. Last but not least it smells like gas itself, so make sure to do it outside especially if you dislike gas smell or park your car in a small space.
