Stay away from this phone!! I didn't expect "all the bells and whistles" for $150 but I expected a smart phone that would at least make and receive calls and send texts where they were supposed to go! I would say I receive about half of my calls...and no alert to notify of a missed call. I missed out on a job interview because my phone never rang and never alerted me a call was"missed". Piece of junk. This is NOT a StraightTalk problem, though! I would never drop them. Just a kinky phone. My samsung galaxy is much, much, MUCH better! Highly recommended!

Though the performance of this phone was totally awesome when I bought it, one week later it lost all signal connection. Walmart replaced it with no problem. In less than 90 days the second phone did the same thing. Straight Talk determined it needed to be replaced and did so quickly and for free. One week after the new phone was activated it could receive messages, but I had no bars and could not send messages or make calls. From my viewpoint, this phone needs to be recalled and taken off the market. Very frustrated.

bought this to send and receive pictures from clients through mms have not been able to send or receive pics no 4g signal so assuming not working taking this back asap

Worst phone I've ever had

I bought this phone in October of 2015 and it worked great for a little over 2 weeks. It would not let me make phone calls so I called straight talk to get help. Sim card was replaced then when that didn't work the phone was replaced. I got the new one in and it worked great for a few days before having the same issue. Once again the sim card was replaced and then the phone . I now have the 2nd replacement which worked for 2 weeks and has the same issue. Straight talk refuses to replace the phone with a different model and I've basically been told its my fault for purchasing this phone. They are referring to the terms and conditions where it states that the phone has a 1 year manufacturer warranty to replace it with the same model. It doesn't matter that I purchased a phone that will not work and I've lost $150. Better Business complaints don't even matter to them. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!! Waste of money!!

Terrible phone

Bought this phone just before vacation, was really excited to have a 4 G phone with a "great" camera setup. Then I opened it up to use it. Was OK for the first 3 weeks. Then one day I was at the park ,tried to make a call, it kept telling me I needed a credit card number first, I was confused. Seems the SIMS card was having some kind of issue working. Straight talk sent me another SIMS card, didn't work. I was on the phone with 4 different people in a course of 3 days, on the third day the decided the operation system had crashed. So Straight talk sent me a new phone, I let it set a few days on the table, scared to try it out. I finally gave in and activated the phone. Less than two months and its not working AGAIN. This time it will not download emails, picture text, kicks out random phone numbers, won't keep ring tones, deletes pictures when it wants to, data usage is a joke, and it downloaded pictures at 2 AM from two days before. I hate this phone, I would never suggest purchasing another one to anyone.

Phone Issues can't make or recieve calls

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!! I purchased my Alcatel one touch pop icon LTE 2 on 9/2/2015. It worked great until this month when I added a phone card on 12/13/15. The next day it stopped letting me make or receive phone calls. I have trying to get it fixed ever since. I am hoping by posting this review, I may actually get some help from them. I am very fed-up with talking on chat, talking to Straight talk on the phone and emailing them without any resolution. I have emailed them today (12/30/15) using the email I saw from other customers on this site that had problems. I will put an update on here when and If it gets resolved. I am very disappointed and upset with the sorry customer service I have received and the lies I have been told trying to get my new phone fixed. I have been talking on chat and on the phone since 12/14/15 trying to resolve the problem with my phone. Here is a record of these conversations: 12/13/15- added airtime to phone 12/14/15- cannot recieve or make calls 12/14/15 -online chat during my lunch hour for 1 hour- tried all the recommended troubleshooting and did not fix phone 12/14/15 - online chat at home that evening for 1 hour- tried all the recommended troubleshooting and did not fix phone, agreed to send new sims card to try 12/17/15 - sims card came- called straight talk and followed instructions- didn't fix phone. tried all the troubleshooting again- agreed to replace phone, stated I would get an email with the instructions 12/21 finally got email with instructions to wait on an email from Fedex with a label to use to send back phone ....the FedEx email has never came 12/25- on line chat again and was told they would email me a label to send phone back directly to the warehouse 12/27- The email has never came- called again and was given a ticket number and was told I would get something in the mail today (12/29) to send my phone back in 12/29- nothing has came in the mail nor to my email. I tried to check the ticket number I was given and states it is not valid. (1368459945)

Terrible memory

I bought this phone about two months ago I hate it. The memory is garbage I only added two apps and then my memory was full tried to fix that issue by buying a sd card only to find I wanted money. They phone won't allow you to transfer any memory to the card other then pictures.

Trouble send and receiving pictures

Bought this phone back in September. Didn't use it much the first couple of months. Started using it more in December. Now I cannot receive or send pics. After hours of searching the internet for answers and resetting the phone several times, contacted StraightTalkBV@StraightTalk.com and they responded a couple days later requesting my serial number. Sent it four days ago. Still waiting a reply and now starting today when I write a text message most of it does not show up after I send it so I cant read what I wrote right after I send it. I am not having much luck with this phone. Hope they can help me soon.

Works great for a month

Wow, I was excited! A pretty good smart phone I thought.. Well, the first one worked for a month and a half and then just got lost it seemed. It could not find its location, then everything else failed, like calls, messaging, etc. Sent it off and received a new phone and sims card from straight talk and this one made it a month and two days, then it broke down. They are sending a new sims card and I told them I will probably be talking to them soon, Like as soon as it gets here and doesn't fix the problem. Piece of junk. Have gotten to use it two and a half months of the three and a half I have owned it.

I hate this phone

This is the WORST straight talk phone I've ever owned. Purchased this phone October 2015, January 2016, started to have issues. I'm on my 3rd replacement phone. Instead of refunding my money to purchase another ST phone and making me a happy customer they keep patching it up by sending SIM cards,checking the provisions of my account, updating their system, etc. My biggest issue is picture text messages. I cannot send or receive them when I get a new phone plan each month. Somehow I have to call and stay on the line an hour each month for them to "update" whatever it is they need to update. My kid has a ST phone, no issues. It's a LG. Customer service is no help I've been hung up on before when I started to cry about rebooting to factory settings. I did that the first time and LOST everything in the phone. I couldn't grasp losing everything again and I broke down. They keep replacing since I have the warranty. This issue has made me consider Sprint, Verizon, AT&T because it's very frustrating...every month, same cycle. I've asked if there was a problem with this model and I've been told no, I'm the only one having issues, guess not looking at these reviews.
