The service is ok... playing videos is great but you can't upload videos... the phone freezes all the time.. the service is a lot slower than other competitors
This model has a history of locking up, completely shutting down, and the clock resetting. I don't use my phone as an alarm, so the clock issue is more of an annoyance for me than anything. But, 2 -3 times a day, the clock will jump back 6 hours. It will randomly, with a variety of apps, just lock up. You have to shut it down and turn it back on to use it. Other times it will just shut completely off. At this price point, I don't expect a lightening fast device, but I don't think the common problems of this model are acceptable either.
I had a phone like this one before never had this much problems. I keep losing service were I use to have service were before with my old phone. I'm not gettingniting one like this one again.
Slow and it hard to get to phone to make a call.
Make the instruction manual user friendly to the older generation - no to need an engineering degree to understand how to transfer pictures - take pictures (zoom in and out) let alone transfer phone numbers. I am not a rocket scientist and the person at the store had had it to the max with 45 min on the phone dealing with computer crashed on your end without courtesy of telling him of the occurrence! The phone isn't that bad as I just wish it had been new when I purchased it.
This is the second phone I've had of this model and it has the same problems as the first one that it replaces. They both have a nasty habit of completely freezing up for no apparent reason. And, when it does freeze, it usually freezes again right after the restart (before any apps can be run), creating a cycle of restarting and freezing that's hard to break out of. I haven't discovered why this is happening, and I'm frustrated to the point of returning it and trying to get a different model to replace it. It seems to be a flaw in the design as far as I can tell. There's no explanation for this kind of behavior and makes the phone totally unusable at times.

This phone randomly changes the time by itself. Which is terrible for setting alarms. When it does this, it also changes items you've added to your calendar. The calendar is already a mess trying to add appointments and other events. When an event is set up and saved, the calendar gives it a totally different time frame and date. I really rely on these features. The battery is also bad. Also, the phone just seems to randomly 'freeze.' Full battery or not. Which leads to missed calls, etc. Poor product :(
I've owned plenty of cheaper phones in the past. This one was on a Black Friday Special so I thought I'd get a new one. I wish someone was there to let me know how this thing freezes all the time. I have to turn it off and back on 7-10 times a day. The batterey life is terrible. I'm charging it every day, even if I don't use it. I made the mistake of trusting it as an alarm. Would have missed my flight had my husband not had his alarm on. The clock is annoying and useless. I can't even get on-line half the time, and when I can it takes forever-then freezes and shuts off. The old saying "you get what you pay for" doesn't hold true in this case.......I paid for a little better then this!
DO NOT buy this phone. It is the worst samsung product I have ever owned. I've had three in three months. The first the speaker in the back broke. The second phone after 1 week the microphone broke. I've had the latest for three weeks I'll see how long it last. It is also very slow and locks up a lot on the network. If you're using WiFi it's fine.
