I home school my grandchildren and these lap desks are just what we needed. They are light-weight and are very comfortable. They use it for doing their work, it has a slot at the top which holds their pencils nicely. I am sending for 2 more...1 for me and the other for my daughter. For our needs, this product works very well. If you wanted to lay in bed & read a book, or write this is great.
The shape and size of the lap desk is perfect to do schoolwork on or to have your laptop on. I am not on my laptop a lot or for very long so it never gets the pad too hot to melt the hard plastic top. I use it when I go outside or when I am not at my desk in the house. I have a couple of these lap desks and my kids use them to do schoolwork on it when we are outside. I homeschool so I change the scenery from inside to outside when the weather is nice.
I love this lap desk. It keeps my lap cool while working for long hours. I would recommend it to anyone working for long hours, and it would also be great for students.
Product is as described and right price for what you get. I was looking for something to make it a bit easier when I sit on couch or chair and try to balance my laptop. This is perfect!! Allows a stable surface for my computer....and can also make for a good lap table for eating on!! :) I recommend this to anyone!!
I wanted a lap desk that would support my Chromebook or a small tablet and magazine size literature. I did not want a large and heavy lap desk. It also needed to be inexpensive. This fits the bill for me.
I did look at the other options, to purchase a Lab Top Desk, and to use in my room for college/work, and it's ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE MONEY!! I even had it shipped to the nearest Walmart, and not have to pay Shipping, which made the deal even sweeter ;) ~Lyla779
I have to exchange mine b/c of a small hole on the bottom, but it is still a nice item. My 11 year likes the color and size.
The lap desk is lightweight and useful. It arrived much faster than I expected. The only problem was a corner of the plastic was broken off. The loose piece was inside the box, so we were able to glue it back together. It wasn't worth returning it since we were able to glue it.
Love the size, hard to find one that's reasonable and compact without an espresso maker and surround sound. I was happy with the compact simplicity, UNTIL I started using it. It's so flimsy, it bends in an arc, so the rubber feet on the laptop don't make contact and it spins around on the peak of the arc. The textured surface makes matters worse, when the feet come into contact they don't grab at all. It's like trying to set a computer on top of a frisbee. Personal preference, but I don't like the shade of Blue, I wanted Black but it wasn't available. The blue isn't bad itself, but it doesn't really go with computer equipment. Will be returning it as soon as I can find a more suitable replacement.
I ordered this product for myself to use for my laptop. I would not recommend this due to the fact that it was slightly warped in the middle of the plastic tray and over time (and heat) it has only gotten worse. My laptop does not sit flush on the tray and wobbles when I type. Spend a little more to get something of better quality.
