This is not the strongest material ours did not rip till the very end of the season last year. It was great for shade while playing with my granddaughters. Very easy to put up but if you have a lot of wind take it down and its easy to do.
This product would work great if there was no wind however wind is a way of life in Oklahoma and the poles bend and break. They started to splinter with a couple of weeks then started breaking. As stated before, great concept with cheap materials that do not hold up in real world applications. If they would consider using fiberglass poles it may be the perfect product for any pool. Just trying to keep the kids from getting sun burned.
Thought it looked cheap when I opened it but put it up anyways. Upon taking it down a few hours later, one of the poles completely split. I took it back to the store the next day and got my money back. I wanted it more for a blocker from our neighbors bushes (as they make a huge mess) but there are large gaps between the side of the pool and the bottom of the canopy so it was of no help anyways. (I have a 14ft. round pool) Overall it was a great idea. Wish the sides would reach the sides of the pool and the poles weren't so very cheap. A bit dissapointed.
Slightest bit of wind and it broke the poles and the T at the top to hold it together. This was less than 10-15 mile hour winds and it just snapped the poles to easy. They need to make a better pole system. If they solve that problem it was working great for the whole 3 days I had it up before it snapped the poles in 1/2 and broke the T joint.
Love the concept..especially because i wanted to take my 2 month old son in the pool when the water warmed up enough. and Not have him in direct sunlight..plus the idea of privacy from the neighbors who happen to have a pool set up on the other side of the fence about 10 feet away. The first day one of the poles split when a gust of wind caught it. so I taped it trying to make it work, well after numerous times the posts fell out of the middle connecting piece from slight wind, it punctured holes. lol so again I taped it together trying to make it work. well after literally 2 days up, the middle connecting post metal piece broke completely..I considered buying pvc pipe the same size, hoping it would be more sturdy, but I just want my money back for this garbage and ill buy a ground umbrella that tilts to cover a desired area..*sigh*..it was a nice idea anyhow.
This is a great product if you live in an area that has NO wind at all. The recommendation of "removing the product when not in use" is much easier said than done. There is no way to fold and store it without taking it apart. When you finally get tired of taking it down and just leave it up, a slight breeze rips the canopy or breaks the supports. Great concept but needs some work. Yes it provides shade and contributes to keeping the pool cleaner but only until the wind blows. I'll be asking for a refund ASAP.
i love the fabric is is very durable and quick drying, the frame specifically the "T" is not worth a penny it broke the very first time with a mild 5 to 10 mile an hour breeze. Also one the connections broke the second use.
had it up for two days and the poles snapped now I have to go stand in line and return it. The store doesnt carry this product so will have to order it online or go elsewhere
This is a fantastic idea, but unfortunately did not pass the test of time. I put my canopy on the pool less than a week ago and one of the support brackets have already busted. I have not any kind of winds that should have caused the bracket to break. Very disappointed!
Liked the concept however it is very cheaply made. It is shaped by using tent like extension rods and when my husband and I connected it to the T rod that holds them together, and we started to put it up, it just snapped off and the end of the rod went right through the material. I was really looking forward to using this! Bummed me out
