Very easy to put together. Very durable while sleeping, it doesn't move even if pressed against while sleeping. There is no chance that our little girl can fall between the rail and the bed, because it is securely fastened in place. We love the pink for our little girls room. We can only find blue at the stores.
My daughter has been using these for 5 months, and they are still working wonderfully! She went from a crib to a full-size bed, and the transition was easy using these bed rails. It was very simple to adjust and install. I had read reviews on another site that complained of the color -- it isn't the traditional "baby" powder pink -- but it blended well in her room, which had several shades of pink and green already. The rails are durable and also are flexible when she rolls into them during the night. Definitely a good buy!
This product works great for our 2 1/2 yr old! The transition from her crib to big bed was easy. Not one sleepless night! The setup was pretty easy, but definitely took 2 people to get the poles to click into position. We are using it between a bunky board and mattress without any problems. Because of the bed type we are not able to use the fold down feature, but are completely satisfied with this purchase.
adjustable for height and length. need 2 people to set it up. it was kind of hard. folds down easily. my toddler has not fallen out of the bed!
I love them. The fold down makes it so much easier to put sheets on the bed. That's the only reason I use the fold down feature. It gets very long so the chances of her rolling of bed aren't likely. They are also tall (you can adjust the height and length. There isn't anything that I hate about them. My daughter moved to a twin bed at 17 months old. She is a crazy mover and she (now 26 months old) has yet to fall out of the bed.
I love these rails and have been very pleased with them. I really wanted rails that I could fold down during the day as to not take away from the bed itself and these are perfect. It would've been really nice to find them in white as well but I prefer the pink over the blue! They fold down and go up very easily!
I searched for a bed rail that would work and not cost an arm and a leg. I found these bedrails and decided to give them a try. They turned out to be an excellent choice. My husband and I were buying them to take with us to Anaheim (daughter's first trip to Disneyland). We were able to lay them in the car under the luggage and they took up very little room. Upon arival, we set them up in the hotel and it took less than 5 minutes. They were easy to set up, collapse and worked fine. Overall a great buy. I can't comment on durablility because so far I've only used them for this trip. But, they seem to be well built and I think will work fine in our daughter's room.
Ordered this online for use in my camper bunk beds for a 3 year old and a 9 month old. I used it as 2 separate rails on 2 different bunks. It worked great since we were able to stretch or collapse the length of the rails. We could give the older one enough room to place the ladder on the top bunk. I would recommend this to others.
I bought this for my 2 1/2 yr old who was destroying her crib by climbing out of it. The layout of her room called for the bed to be in the middle and therefore we needed a double sided rail. The fact that this was pink made it that much more appealing, as her room is light pink. I would have been willing to go with white but dark blue would have stood out to much. It was very fast and easy to put together. It stays in place and seems long enough to keep her safe even though she is a traveler in her sleep. I haven't used the fold down feature because she just crawls to the foot of the bed to exit. I am nervous about the metal frame, as we had one for my older daughter and the metal was so thin that it broke from being leaned on. I am just careful not to lean on this one.
When I purchased this bedrail for my 2 year-old, I didn't realize that it only works with a boxspring bed. We had a bed with slats and had to replace it (it was old anyway). Once we installed it with the boxspring, we found out that the height of the rail surpasses that of the bed (of average height) when it is in the lowered position. In other words, when you lower the rail, it doesn't lay flush against the bed, it hits the ground and sticks out a few inches away from the bed (You may be able to notice in the photo). Being pregnant, that made it a little difficult to make the bed. It does seem very secure, however, and keeps my child from falling off the bed, which is its main purpose. I do wish they would have designed it better to lay against the side of the bed instead of sticking out and I wish the cover was removable for washing.
