This is a great bassinet. My wife put it together in about 30 min while she was about 8 months pregnant. I was really impressed because I was having to tie her shoes at that point. We use this bassinet on the first floor and have a second one for the bedroom. It is solid and sturdy. With a wide base, it definitely can't be knocked over. It looks great. I think the “bentwood” frame is a really unique design and works well with our décor. I love the fact there is storage underneath for extra blankets, wipes, toys etc. The hood on the top is collapsible if you want an unobstructed view of baby. The unit takes 4 ‘C' batteries. They last fairly long (a couple of months for us) and you don't need to worry about tripping over a cord. Also, we're able to move it from one room to the next without having to find another outlet. If your baby really like the motion, you may want to consider rechargeable batteries. You could use rechargeable ‘AA' with a ‘C' adapter, but ‘AA's are only about 20-30% the capacity of a ‘C'.
I bought this to use in our bedroom for the first few months to make night feedings easier. I wanted a gender neutral option as we haven't found out the gender of our little one yet. We also wanted a more sturdier option that looked more like real furniture than the cheaper white bassinets. This fit the bill. My only complaint is the mattress baby will be sleeping on is SUPER thin, and the sheet is more like a pillow case than a sheet. It is also thin and plain. I will be making something better. The one I purchased did come with the twilight turtle, was cheaper and I got the free turtle. Score! Overall I am really happy with my purchase. Bed looks sturdy and will probably last through more than one baby. Cute print on canopy and skirt.
