Easy to use . Cuts thru oak branches with ease. Provides great service at a great Walmart price. This model saw was recommended to me by my neighbor. My neighbor bought his saw because his son-in-law had recommended this model saw to him. Recommendations are great.!
I used this saw for the first time last weekend trimming some branches from a large tree...I wasn?t really sure what to expect from a saw this size, and with an electric motor. I had prepared myself to be disappointed with mediocre results...but I was blown away by how this little saw performed, it is great! I love that once the limbs were on the ground I was able to detach the head/handle from the pole and use it just as a chainsaw! It is very lightweight and had plenty of power to cut right through everything (including some branches more than 6? in diameter). I am VERY impressed with this saw...it is a great product and at a good price. I highly recommend it and hope that it lasts many years of use.
I wish I bought this saw sooner. It makes trimming overhead branches very easy. I used it to cut limbs up to about 7" in diameters and it worked every time. Very powerful motor for its size and the chain length is plenty for the task. I highly recommend it.
I used Gas saws for fourty, years I bought this son Joe pole saw to trim lower branches around my property one of the best saws I ever owned. No gas no battery to wear out unplug it when you're done . Instant start up next time you need it.
Very pleased with this pole saw pruner. Used it to cut some overhead limbs on several trees and then removed the pole and used the saw as a regular chainsaw to cut up some of the larger limbs for burning in fire pit at a later date. Yes, there is a lot of weight leverage when the pole is extended and that is hard on this 74 year old"s arms - the up side of this is that you don't have to press down on the pole much for the saw to cut. I have used a gas powered pole saw in the past and it was hard to apply enough pressure with the pole to make the chain cut well. One reviewer complained that his saw detached from the pole in use, so I did take the precaution of wrapping a strip of duct tape around the saw/pole attach point. Very pleased with this saw and love the fact that it can be detached from the pole and used as a regular saw for other tasks.
This is a nice chainsaw that has a pole with it. The cut is fine. Put a little muscle into it
Seems to do the job, was more than a bit concerned about whether everything was even in the box when it arrived. The box was demolished and the items in the box looked like they'd been gone through. So far it works though so I'm happy about that. If it had arrived in better condition I probably would've rated it higher.
I was really excited about finally getting an extended saw, I have wanted one for years, but after one use I just hung it up in the garage never to use again. The saw is not made for left-hand use, the most dangerous part of the saw is the safety switch, very difficult to operate when you trying to hold all that weight and push a button and pull a trigger. I do not think this unit was tested the way people really use them. They say it weighs about 14 lbs., but put that on a pole 8 ft. out and it feels more like 75 lbs. This may be fine for a younger right-handed man, but for us older guys, you will want to be in pretty good shape. The saw did cut quickly and cleanly on the ten or so small branches that I cut. I will probably just use it for a handheld chain saw on the ground. The one picture is all I could cut before my shoulders gave out from the weight. Also, it is very hard to see exactly where you are cutting when you are looking up the pole behind the saw.
he said that i messed up because first it had a cord and thay was terrible. he tried to use it but the chain continues to fall off and never latched on. he has already purchased a ctaftsman.
Plastic parts start getting damaged from first time used A
