This is a great pole saw. Perfect for taking care of drought stricken trees.. it is cold here so did not check the longevity of the battery ,however, the power and lightweight sold me on it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used our Sun Joe cordless pole chain saw to cut a few branches from some overgrown trees. We are very impressed with how quickly and efficiently this cordless pole chain saw works! It took just a few minutes from unpacking the chain saw and putting it together. We followed the instructions on how to install the saw chain and we are pleased that Sun Joe set the zip tie in place in order to make the assembly so easy! We've had many saws over the years and Sun Joes was the easiest! We were a little disappointed that the chain saw package didn't include any bar and chain oil but we had some in the garage from previous equipment that required it, so not a huge deal. The Sun Joe pole chain saw cuts smaller branches like a dream! It's not too loud and the vibration is pretty minimal. I believe this is due to using a battery versus plugged in for more power. I wouldn't try to cut large branches with the cordless chain saw as it drains the battery pretty quickly. The battery is the only complaint I have with this chain saw. We knew the battery wasn't going to last for hours so we divided up the saw needs between two different saws. The Sun Joe cordless chain saw gave us about 15 minutes of sawing before the battery died. That was a little disappointing as we had hoped to finish a bigger section with this chain saw. The battery takes about 5 hours to charge so it's not as efficient as we had hoped for our chain saw needs. BUT it's great for a quick clean up or small jobs! Overall we are pretty pleased with the Sun Joe cordless pole chain saw.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assembly was very simple. The chain came preinstalled on the bar so you don't have to worry about putting the chain on backwards. Adjusting the chain was quite simple. Next you have to add chain saw oil to lubricate the chain. The oil is not included, so make sure to buy some. Plug in a fully charged battery and you are ready to go. Chainsaw runs nice and smooth, is easy to use and the angle of the blade can be adjusted to get to the limbs. I definitely recommend this chainsaw.
This has a shoulder strap to help hold it while using it. It cuts the trees very easily. It's cordless so it moves anywhere you do. You can cut about a 5" tree branch easily. It's made for trimming trees, not for cutting down the whole tree. Battery lasts a very long time. Extremely happy with my purchase of this chainsaw and other Sun Joe tools.

Using a battery is so much more convenient then using gas. The saw cut the branches well. The pole extends fully . For a naive homeowner this is a wonderful product.
This is my 4th Sunjoe yard tool.A lot of quality tool for a very reasonable price.This pole saw does everything i want it to.It is a lightweight sound polesaw.
Like the fact that there's no extension cord and you're free to move about with no concern of tripping. For me, it's a little heavier when extending to get to the higher branches because of the battery, but it's worth the extra weight.
Very functional saw. We needed it after a storm knocked down trees, and it performed well. My only complaint is that it arrived with a crack in the plastic housing. I would recommend this chain saw.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pole chainsaw is easy to assemble and works great for cutting smaller branches. We used the pole saw to trim branches on our black walnut tree and got a nice flush cut on branches up to five inches. The larger branches were more challenging but doable. The multi angle feature is nice for getting into tighter spaces and offers some extra control when cutting. We did notice that when the pole is extended to the maximum length the saw does lose some stability and is harder to control. Overall though, I think this is a great product for smaller trimming and clean up projects. I just wish it came with an extra battery for continuous use.
easy to assemble but do not like that the battery charger will not turn off when battery is charged. you have to watch it so you do not overcharge the battery
