I purchased this saw for the purpose of cutting some small extending branches over my driveway, because I thought that I would need a much powerful saw to cut the much larger limbs, boy was I wrong, just apply a little pressure and proper technique and the job is done. "NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THATA BATTERY OPERATED SAW COULD PERFORM SO WELL"
Assembly was challenging but ended up being very simple. After that, its smooth efficiency & clean cutting took over. Wow. Although the box was rather damaged in shipping, it was packed so well that the parts were in great condition. One of the safest, most efficient tools that I have ever purchased on a prayer. Remember to wear safety glasses & gloves. Keep your dogs inside (especially inquisitive ones like our labs.) A safety mask — a bandanna worked — helps keep shreds out of your teeth. Then GO FOR IT! I got a lot done in about half an hour with no lax in the charge.
I got this at a great price, great for 2 reasons. One the battery is the same as my snowjoe blower so I got a second battery and charger for either tool. And two, because this saw has been amazing, it has great cutting power, Im sure I have cut limbs beyond its reccommened cutting range, and it has worked flawlessly.
This is my first cordless chain saw, and it is my new favorite tool! Use for limbs, cutting down small trees on a hillside, shrubs - all without the danger of ladders or climbing down a hill. Easy start - no hassle of a gas engine. It is a little heavy in some uses, and I wish the battery charger was 'smart' - you have to remove the battery from the charger after it is charged, not like my other lithium battery tools where I can just leave the battery in the charger.
Very helpful and quick to replace my first sun Joe polesaw (handle broke). Extremely happy with the replacement and the timely manner that everything was handled.
And that telescoping chainsaw pruner is real nice the only problem is that the battery takes too long to charge back up you need to have it so it works faster so when you're doing in the middle of the job in the battery goes dead you even put it in a reasonable time instead of waiting 3-4 hours for to charge up [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I trimmed my whole driveway of over hanging branches with one battery. About 40 branches.
Works great.A little on the heavy side.Could be made lighter if possible.
Purchased this to trim branches along my property line. While it's definitely not commercial use grade, it's been a good value for what I wanted to do. First time out with the 4ah battery I cut and dragged branches and 5-6" saplings for almost 2 hours before needing a recharge.
I trimmed along a spruce windrow, about 3 packed front-end loader fulls, everything from twigs to big as my arm. This trimmer worked well, easy to operate, definitely a lot easier than my manual trimmer! Charged the battery completely before use and it still showed full charge after all that...I was impressed. My only wish is that it were slightly longer but overall I am very pleased with this purchase.
