This little humidifier works well in our large bedroom. I even leave the walk-in closet door open and we still wake up without being parched. The reservoir is small but we run the humidifier on high all night and it still has a little bit of water left in the morning. I fill it up and set it on low during the day. It's true that it is rather loud on the high setting but it reminds me of the white noise machines that many people use in their bedrooms to block out other household noises. This is great for us because our daughter and two year old grandson live with us and they are generally still up and making noise when we go to bed.
This does exactly as described, it is a bit loud on the highest setting though. We use it everyday. Works great!
I had the ReliOn humidifier, but when I accidently dropped & broke it, I went to purchase a new one. This was the one available at the local Walmart, so I purchased it. I got it home tonight and when I started it, I was amazed that it was SO LOUD. My last one sounded like a fan, which was fine. I run a fan all year round in my room, anyway. But this humidifier was so loud that it drowned out my normal fan and I had to turn up the TV over it. I don't think I could ever sleep with it on, it is that noisy. I am returning it to the store tomorrow.
The water compartment in it is so small (little over a half gallon) it would not last the night without refilling. In high speed it is very load but in low speed you can't even tell if it's running. Took it back to Walmart store and traded for another larger model.
