Product arrived at WalMart right on time. Wife and I assembled with zero problems but be sure to read instructions carefully and not assume you know what you're doing. We pre-laid a pad of 11 X 11 concrete tiles from Home Depot carefully leveled with paver sand (about $30). Sturdy unit but no cross-bracing to connect all four sides. One door panel arrived cracked at a critical corner. Called Suncast on Wednesday...replacement piece was delivered Friday no questions....no cost. Hope thats what made in USA is starting to stand for again.
Looked at sheds for a long time-didn't want a big, involved shed that needed a foundation built & required a lot of power tools(my husband & I are not handy) This shed was perfect-just follow the instructions carefully, read booklet before, & put all related parts together. It was a piece of cake! Now our smelly lawn mower is out of our garage. My only caution is on the lid stopper. It should read thin & thick instead of large & small.
The box came in a week earlier than they said it would which was great! It's an excellent storage box inside another building but it did come with some damage. I didn't want to box the whole thing up to take it back to the store as it does what I need it to do. But, as I did see some others mention damage, I don't recommend this box for outside storage as it does seem to get damaged in transit. But everything I wanted to store in it fits perfectly, so overall I'm very happy with it.
The Suncast Shed was sturdy and will likely make a good all weather cover for our pump area. I read previous reviews and concur with being careful about putting it together, especially the first levels. BE SURE to connect the back side and side pieces that interconnect BEFORE attaching them to the base. Otherwise you will have to disassemble them, which is NOT easy and it definitely will take 2 people to assemble/disassemble. We live in rural ND where we get a lot of wind driven snow in the winter. This shed is NOT one that seals well against the elements, but with some duck tape and old insulation, we made it almost weather proof. We had to buy the taller of the shed options because of the height of an exisiting power source, but overall we're pleased with what we purchased. Will write another critique once winter has come and gone.
I'm going to use this as a generator shed and it should work nicely. I must admit I think it's a little pricey for what you get. I also wish a shelf was supplied with the shed. I would have purchased one separately but that wasn't an option either. I had to make one out of plywood and after following the instructions exactly, I think it could have been made it a little bigger. But, with that said, I still think it's a pretty decent shed. Assembly wasn't too difficult and Walmart handled the transaction well. With Winter just around the corner, It's going to be interesting to see how well this shed holds up. Only time will tell.
Decent shed, a little less sturdy than the comparable rubbermaid. The price differential for the rubbermaid is not worth it. Assembly was quick (1/2 hr), just follow the directions.
I've purchased two GS2000 sheds in the past, and have been very pleased with the quality and durability. With this new one, everything is fine except the lid - it is warped a small amount so that it will allow rain to come into the shed. I have to physically move the lid to properly cover the shed, and then put a brick on top to hold it in place.
Relatively easy to put together but do yourself a favor and don't jump ahead of the instructions. If you snap a piece in place out of order it's a little tough to unsnap it. Otherwise no problems encountered.
This item is great. the install took about 20-30 mins and looks good on my deck. the only downfall was that they said it takes from 7-10 days to ship and deliver, it actually took about 3 weeks to deliver to the store, I've should have just had it shipped to my house instead. I purchased this for a gift and had to buy somewhere else because of the delay. I tried to email customer service to cancel the order and they replied stating that the item had to be delivered first before I can cancel. at that point...3 weeks later, I got the email and ended up buying it because I did not want to cancel after I ordered so it eb=nded up in my deck. if you ever order this for someone else, make sure you do it a month before...LOL!!! overall...its a good product and install quickly.
This was perfect for my deck, storage for folding chairs and cushions. It was great for the first season however; the plastic construction became brittle and the latch and foot peg broke off after one summer. The stay dry design works well though.
