My garden tools were always kept in different locations (the shed, under the deck etc.), until I purchased my garden scooter. I will be using this all summer, spring and fall. The colours match my deck and patio furniture which makes me love it even more.
I love this little scooter. I have a difficult time getting up and down to move the stool I was using. This scooter on wheels is awesome. I just push my way around the yard.
I think that I have at least 15 Suncast products in my home! From a large shed to five hose carts. I was looking for something to sit on while using my lateral file that I could move around on..this scooter is just perfect. Right height, rolls, and is sturdy and light. Suncast if you are listening..this would make a wonderful product for an office..the voice of experience, after filing in low cabinets for many years. Their customer service is also wonderful.
I did some heavy research online before ordering the Suncast Garden Scooter online on the Walmart.com website. There were several others that looked more heavy-duty and at least twice the price, but I just wanted something I could sit on & roll along as I pulled weeds. So far, so good. I weigh 167 lbs. and have had no problems with that. The cushion on the seat makes sitting for extended periods of time bearable. I like it!
I have had one of these for years however when I purchased it for my daughter I found a better one than mine. It's lightweight yet sturdy. comes with a strap to pull behind you and even has a cup holder for that cool drink. Of course you can place your tools and potting soil right inside. I just may ask for this one for myself.
#1 This garden scooter is excellent for yard work (I put a rope through the belt loops, wrapped the rope around a nearby tree trunk, then just pulled the rope to move me along the yard!). #2 It will also come in handy for painting lower walls, and then secure a tray to hold paint cans for upper wall painting. #3 Can use as an indoor/outdoor ottoman/seating (& store magazines, etc. inside). #4 Can take my small grandsons for a wagon ride. #5 Can place my pump sprayer inside cart for bleaching my driveway & sidewalks to remove mold. I'm sure I can come up with many more ways to use this scooter, and I bet other consumers will too. BTW, I only paid a total of $30, and had it shipped for free to my local Walmart for pick-up!
The first thing was that I had to get a 40 lb tub of cat litter into the garage. I'm older so it is tough to lift and carry heavy stuff. I put it on my little cart and wheeled it into the garage lickety-split! Then the real trial. I took it outside and sat on it and attempted to get up. It is hard for me to get up when I'm down. I was able to get right up. Now I have to change out electrical plug ins in my house and I can sit on my cart to do it. I'm really happy with this purchase and I'll tell the world!!
Seat collapses easily. This is the third one in 4 months for the seat to collapse and I am 20 pounds under the published maximum weight.
If you are planning on using this, as advertised, for SITTING as you garden - think again! I do not normally write reviews, but decided to for this product because I was so disappointed. I bought this product in March and it lasted all of FOUR months before the seat cracked (see pics). Not a small crack - it can no longer be used. It has been kept under a covered porch when not in use, so no excuse for it to be brittle and crack. I am 60 pounds under the maximum weight limit listed. Unfortunately, it is past the Walmart return policy timeframe. If someone from Suncast is reading this review and responds, I would appreciate my money back to put towards a product that lasts more than four months. Hopefully customer service is responsive and honors this request. If so, I will update.
I've owned several of this type of product over the years. Never an issue. This one collapsed under my weight on the first day of use, though I am no where near the 225 lb advertised limit. This is a piece of junk.
