My friend had already purchased this cabinet, so I knew what to expect. It's well designed, easy to assemble, has very sturdy shelves and holds quite a lot. I would, however, suggest you follow the suggestion and use two screws to attach it to the wall behind. This is especially important if the floor is not level. Overall, I'm very pleased with this unit, and it is worth the price.
Shipped right to my house in 3 days; Free. Assembly was easy, nice design ! We are using it as a Linen cabinet, but it would work great for any kind of storage, including parts or tools in your garage . The price was fair; but what I like most is that, this will never fall apart, or Rust !
Instructions not that easy to follow....but important they're followed to a tee. Some prices fit so-so...not tight, like a heavier wood or metal. The hinge where the door opens and closes needed some trimming on the plastic with an exactly knife. Happy with the price and purpose the cabinet serves.
Going to focus on putting this together... once it's all out of the box, lay it all out and it does go together easily. For a change, don't focus on the directions... the slightly confusing part is hanging the doors. For once, easier done than said... it does all snap together. I assembled these on my own without help. The "aware" parts: the box is as long as the sides and doors, so allow for that if you pick it up (in my case, two of them)... one long box barely fit in my Prius, so it was two trips. The same box is tough to open - I cut open one long side and pulled everything out, don't waste time at this point opening it all up. Since this is plastic, look at all the openings that you'll need to fit pieces into.. and trim the flash to make it easier to fit. I'd say about 1 in 5 or 6 holes might need some little trimming. Then check the parts that go into those holes - I had to carefully bend a small piece back into place that was bent from shipping... it would have never gone into it's hole otherwise. I also had to file down one of the door hinges because it wouldn't close smoothly - and then shot a little WD40 onto it so it works fine. It all mostly fits - hey, it's still plastic. I saw a tip and used it on mine - duct tape the sides and back together after assembling them - it keeps them all together while putting on the base. I laid the sides/back pieces down and put the bottom on that way - made more sense than trying to lower them onto the base. Couldn't have done that even with extra vitamins... And suggest securing them to the wall since they can go over if top heavy.... Finally, the hardest part was getting rid of the boxes - tough cardboard, and lots of it. I managed to keep all of fingers etc. attached despite some heavy duty box cutting. Two units, total assembly time about 2.5 hours, including boxes disposal... now to fill them up! Good luck!
This closet "is what it is." Not the sturdiest closet, but adequate. The left door of my unit was warped and I had to do some rigging in order to make it align. The issue in buying cabinets (this was bought for my garage) is it is either this level of quality and price point, or twice the cost at just an incremental increase in quality and durability, or 5 times the cost in a substantial and very permanent solution--you have to pick your quality level.
The quality was far below what was expected. The door panels were warped so they don't fit well. It is a good thing we are using the storage cabinet inside the house instead of outside, where it is supposed to go, or everything would get wet.
I purchased this product from the Walmart website without viewing it first. I intended to use it to store totes in my garage. My totes were 18 inches deep and the summary/information stated that unit was 20.25 inches deep. It did not state that the shelf depth was only 16 inches so none of the totes would fit. I thought maybe I could keep it to use for something else but was disappointed in how flimsy it seemed when empty. I didn't like that I'd have to put something heavy on the bottom just to hold it in place. I was disappointed in the quality since I'd spent over $100. I originally had it delivered to my home for convenience and disassembling it and getting it to fit into my vehicle to return to the store proved quite the challenge. Do not recommend this product if using for tote storage/organization.
I purchased 4 of these storage units and am very disappointed in them all. Some fit together better than others, but all are too flimsy. I am going to return them and look for cabinets with fixed or wire shelves.
Put this storage unit together and doors did not align up properly. There was a slit in the plastic in the back of the unit. Very poor quality. Would not recommend.
The cabinet is poorly made - there is too much unclean and incomplete/uncut completely cut-outs which prevent the unit from being assembled properly. The snap-on locks are very flimsy, which prevents the walls from locking into place well. The bottom and the top panels poorly lock to the wall panels, making the whole cabinet not sturdy. The design would benefit from an additional brace for the back wall to prevent the cabinet from tilting out of alignment. The cabinet is too expensive for what you get. With that said it was the cheapest tall cabinet we found...
