This is just what I need. I have another tabletop humidifier but this new one beats the old one hands down. With this one I have control of the amount of steam that comes out of it and can choose the direction I want the steam to go. Major pluses in my book! And the hygrostat/temperature sensor and ionizer are added bonuses!
The sunpentown DIGITAL humidifier is great1 It has a mist vol. control and the best item is the humidite controly, this allows you to set it at anywhere from 5% till 100%. The machine will turn on and off to keep that setting (say 45%) so your room will be great to sleep in without getting all moldie!!! It also has an ION fuction to help with you breathing, this os the BEST humidifier you can buy and its price is a steal. I have went thougth 6 machaines and this is the one that you will buy 2 or more of!!!
This product was a life saver. Really open up nostrils. My son and I slept better and longer. No longer have nose bleeds, or headaches.
I live in an apartment that is extremely dry. I looked for a humidifier that would be quiet, long lasting, and an a=overall good buy. The price was a little more than I would have liked to spend, but I do not regret it. The tank lasts for a day and a half of constantly running. The night light part isn't overly bright, but is enough to shed a little bit of light into the room. I love how I can choose how heavy I want the mist to be, and adjust the humidity level as well. And how loud it is.... It's silent. My biggest fear was that it would be too loud for my boyfriend. He is an EXTREMELY light sleeper. Like if you turn on our living room light and the fan starts, it wakes him. ANY type of sounds wake him, but this humidifier was so quiet that he was able to sleep through the extremely quiet humming sound it made. He told me it was actually soothing to help him fall asleep. I love this humidifier, and it is most DEFINITELY worth purchasing!
I ordered 2, despite some reviews that indicated the unit did not work correctly. 1 works great! The other leaked all over each time we tried to use it and doesn't allow us to change the desired humidity level so we are returning it. The one that works is really great; love the nightlight feature, and the fact that we can control the desired humidity level. I guess each unit has it's own quirks. :) But we trust WalMart to make it right!
Creates a really good mist...The instructions stated that distilled water should be used, the on-line description did not mention this...With the amount of water this unit uses, buying distilled water is cost prohibitive...Oklahoma City water is relatively "hard" so I hope the humidifier lasts long enough to cover its cost...We'll see...Two design features could be improved...(1) having the option to add water from the top without removing the reservoir every time would be great, and (2) the led display panel should definitely be larger and back-lit...The unit is performing as advertised and is not too expensive, i.e good value...
Doubles as both a night light and humidifier. Needs to be refilled daily and maintains humidity level in low 30's. Without this unit we woke up daily with sore throats. No longer.
I would not recommend this product as it did not meet my expectation, it say it covers 400 sq ft but it did not cover at least 100 sq ft area, even It runs 8 hr in 200 sq ft room, humidity have not changed a single digit,
I REALLY wanted to like this product. Pros: I love the ultrasonic mist. Never had this before. Seems to work well for me. Cons: Day one. Worked fine. Day two. Did not automatically shut off when tank emptied. Day three. The night light would not go off. I had to tie a handtowel around the tank to hide the bright changing lights. Did not automatically shut off. Day four. Finally got the light to shut off. Again, unit did not automatically shut off. Now it leaks. Day five. Unit leaks... Would not automatically shut off. Would not turn off when on/off button pressed. Had to unplug unit. Days six plus..... Same problems. Still using because I need the mist but I haven't had a chance to send it back.. I ordered white. I don't know what color this is but it's not a true white - more like a very soft lavender. But since l don't sit and stare at it - and it gets dark at night, it's fine. The unit is a very cheap plastic. Stable enough but just not expected. It will produce a fine white powder from the mist, but is expected from these types of machines especially if your water is not distilled or purified. This did not bother me because I was dusting anyway - not because of. l would not recommend this because it's too expensive for the way it's made; and it's waaay too much to pay for something that didn't last thru the first week of use. The ONLY recommendation I can make is that you look for something else. ... now I just need to send it back... P.S. the two stars is because I like the ultrasonic mist. It gets zero stars for everything else.
Well it's hard to say much about this item. I plugged it in the kitchen, Filled it, turned it on to see if it worked, ok so far so good. Then when I pushed the on/off switch, to unplug and move it I found out the on/off switch doesn't work. That isn't a good sign so I'm returning it.
