We played this game at a party and all of my son's friends loved it. They had so much fun playing! What was great is how fast paced the game is, how exciting it is, and they were so engaged. Even better, they were interacting with each other instead of just playing electronics.
I hosted a game night through tryazon to review this game and we loved it! We cant wait to get together to play again!
This game is a blast for all ages ! It's easy to get the hang of and kept the attention of all players . Would recommend it to anyone who loves card games
Loved this game! Great for a wide range of ages. Easy to learn.
We wanted to take our game to our local game night at church, so we did a trial run of the game to get the hang of all the rules, etc before going. I ended up having to watch a youtube video on how to play, because there aren't really instructions – just an example of game play, which I couldn't wrap my head around. So, anyway, the youtube video was really helpful.. Once we got the hang of it; the game became quite addictive. It involves strategy of trading cards before seeing them, and using your (?) cards to benefit your game. Ok, so here goes – everyone starts with 4 lives, a level card and a (?) card. The level card has a certain number of coins on them, and you have to determine whether you want to trade this level card or not. Sometimes your (?) allows you to look at another players card before trading. Then after the trading is done, everyone flips up their level cards. Now you can see how many coins are on each players card. Now is the time to use those (?) cards wisely. Sometimes your card will let you give another player -2 or +2 or take them back to zero. Use these wisely and you will save yourself from losing a life! (There are other cards such as castle card, etc, but I will let you discover these on your own) I highly recommend that you stick to the ages 8 and above due to the complexity of the game. Also, you need 3 or more players. You can purchase at Wal-Mart and it's under $10, so pretty reasonable. If you are a Mario Bro's fan – this is a great game for you and your family!
This is a pretty fun game. Designed for 3-8 players, I would say more is better than less. We played with 3 and then with 6, and 6 players made it more interesting and fun. Also, it says ages 8 and up, but younger ones can play. This is not a very complex game, and there is a high element of "luck-of-the-draw" to the game, as opposed to strategy, which makes this a good game for children. Its also a relatively quick play-through, which makes it a good "appetizer" or warm-up game before playing games that take longer to go through, like Settlers of Catan or Ticket to Ride. With 3 players, you can play an entire round in 10 minutes or less. The price point on this game is great, making it an affordable family gift.
The rules of this game are quote ambiguous. They need to be more clear about certain situations that ae had no idea how to move forward. Itâs pretty fun, but needs some revamping for clarity
It was a fun game as you traded cards and tried to have the highest level to avoid losing lives. However, if a replication of a video game is what you are looking for this is not it. It has the references which could make it nostalgic for those who enjoyed the game growing up. Fun game, kids learning math and strategy could benefit from the game.
