We bought this as a birthday present for my 3 year old son. It is almost as big as he is, and he loves it. It is truly his Superman Buddy. It is very large, soft, and great for playing or decoration. It might be a little challenging to get in the washing machine, but it should be fine in there, as there are no buttons or small parts that will come off. Overall we LOVE it.
