Not a popular opinion, but the original Superman movie with Christopher Reeves is superior to Man of Steel. Not to say that Man of Steel is bad, but Superman is better. I've not seen Superman Returns since it was released in the theater and thought it was okay, I appreciated what they tried to do with it, but fell short, but thought I would give it another shot to see if maybe I was more critical than it deserved. Heard about the Donner cut and thought I would check it out.
I made this purchase for The Superman II: Richard Donner Cut. I already had the other two. It was interesting how Richard Donner edited the movie compared to the theatrical release. It was impossible for him to present exactly the move he had planned because he was not available to film some scenes, so it was not as great as could be expected, but it was interesting. I was surprised that Superman Returns was included. I thought that it was the worst of the first five movies due to all the holes in the story. There was hardly a scene which did not have a hole, and some were large enough that Saturn could have passed through without mussing a ring.
I found all three movies good. Blu rays are only as good as they film it. Superman 2 could habe been better bit over all happy with purchase.
There is more than one they should have all of them on blu ray not these and returns is not three
