I've tried several different products, and this one works the best for me. It's hard to find anything like this, so I was very happy to find it online at WalMart.
These are great crochet hooks, feel good and love that they come in their own special case...the colors are bright and are easy to find in the knitting bag. Very happy with this purchase. thanks
I taught myself to crochet using metal hooks, but they always ended up with scratches and catch the yarn. My favorite hook was a plastic hook size F. When it broke I had to start using my metal hooks again. My hands are not what they used to be and I'm only 23. I can't even crochet a full line anymore without stopping every few stitches. I've been looking for the plastic crochet hooks and haven't done much for the last year or two. They are supposed to be better for your wrists, less resistance. They do break, but only if you are being too hard. I prefer them over anyother hook.
LIKE USING THE ACRYLIC CROCHET HOOKS TO WORK WITH THE YARN GLIDES On them.
I was disappointed with this set. I thought it would be much more sturdier construction of the hooks. My h snapped in two with just two single crochets. I liked that it had some of the sizes of hooks that are hard to get . I liked that it would be plastic which I thought might be fun. But it clearly didn't live up to it's expectations. I gave this a two because over all the cost and disappointment. I would advise purchasing this and go for the steel hooks.
I was highly disappointed with this set. Although the sizes are printed on the handles they are extremely hard to read. I could get over that drawback if it weren't for the overall poor quality of the set, especially the smaller sizes. All but the largest sizes bend like rubber when trying to work with them, and I am NOT a tight crocheter. Anyone who is, would be well advised to stay away from these hooks. Aluminum (or a well made hand-turned hook) are, and always will be my favorites.
on using them on the very first project the needle broke into to two pcs. They are very poorly made.I would suggest if u are going to spend money on crochet needles I would spend a couple of more dollars and buy the metal crochet needles and if u are just needing some these would be good to use for being hot glued on something like a poster board and kind of nature not for actual use on crocheting a blanket or any thing else
