These are Wonderful. For all who deal with Arthritis,I encourage you to try them. You will enjoy them.
I know most people do not like anything made of "plastic" but these are wonderful. I have a LOT of crochet hooks but these are among my favorites. Aluminium hooks just don't seem to glide through the way these do and that makes them so much easier on my hands. I am only sorry that my Wal Mart does not carry them in the store, I had to order them online and wait. In store they only carry Boye and I will not buy them, the design of the head of the hook is different than Susan Bates and I have always found that it is easier to lose stitches accidentally off the hook with Boye. Susan Bates is the only hook I will buy. I bought several packs so I can leave some in my car, my purse and attached to various projects I am working on . The price is so good, I can afford to do that. Order yourself a few packs, you won't be sorry. Also makes a great starter pack for those new to crocheting.
This app is awesome. I found the item I need a bought it and it was shipped to the store close to me for free. If I need another item. I am going to shop more on here. Now to figure out how to use my discount card.
I purchased these to try with a bamboo and cotton blend yarn that was splitting. They were terrific. I even found them useful with an acrylic yarn that was lighter than the labeled, a 3k that turned out more like a 2 weight. I would not recommend doing post stitches with the smaller size hooks, they are rather flimsy. For regular stitches all sizes are great. The 5MM and up are very sturdy. These are light weight and great for travel. Inexpensive if you tend to lose the, when traveling..
These are nice hooks for a budget price. The thing I particularly like is that they are so lightweight. They are very easy on my hands.
I've bought this hooks about 5-6 months ago and they work great. They're great in pricing, they function real well. The only thing that I can say is a downside is some of the hooks range a little bigger than regular hooks. And one of my hooks, F hook, broke a few days ago when I was putting it through a very small stitch. This product is great, Walmart is the only place I go to buy yarns and hooks and if you want something cheaper this product's for you.
For the price this item is well worth it however I truly feel this is better for a beginner who may just be learning or trying to figure out if crocheting is for them. Again the price is good however these needles are quite weak and bend very easily. I am more of a knitter and have recently taken up crochet however once I received these hooks I realized I should have just purchased metal ones and in turn ended up doing just that. I kept these for those times I travel so in case they are left behind it will not be an issue or real concern. I would recommend this item to someone who is just testing the waters of crocheting or even planning a trip and figures they may want to get a little crocheting done on their down time.
I need to find out how to put a handle on them
I'm an advanced crocheter and I used these for a class I did for my Girl Scout troop. This great as a teaching tool but not my favorite for an every day use. I will be using them again when I do my next class but for now they are going to stay in the Girl Scout tool box.
I liked that they weren't too expensive. They are easy to use. It's okay if you just want to try out crocheting. They aren't particularly long lasting, yes, I had them for about 3 years, but I only started using them for about 1 year. One of my hooks broke. The thicker ones seem okay, but the smaller ones tend to break if you're crocheting tiny tight stitches, like for amigurumi.
