Before I got this, I was using a notebook to help me keep count of stitches and rows. This is so much easier and more convenient. I'm a crocheter, not a knitter, so I bought the universal style and slipped it on a ribbon I wear around my neck so it's always handy and I don't have to worry about dropping or losing it.
Very pleased with this purchase, highly recommend seller.
I've been a knitter for 50+ years and I find this is one tool I cannot do without. The stitch counter can fit over the needle or can be attached through the circle to your starting yarn. You manually change the number each time you need to count. The device works flawlessy for years and years. I'm never without one.
I use these to keep track of which row in a pattern I'm on. It never twirls by itself n loses my place. Even if I pack up my project and take it on the go with me. It always stays on the number I put it on. Yay!!
The only inconvenience is that I have to order this item online; I use to just be able to buy in the store
One side of the spinner is a little loose, but come on. It's just a row counter. The stem ed is supposed to be a stitch marker, it works, but I'm afraid of breaking it off since its hard plastic. I would have made that part silicone, but hey it was cheap and works.
