Bought to use on my Purgo floors! Leaves disgusting sticky film on floor which has to be redone by hand! Thanks for doubling the time it takes to do my floors!
Didn't work replaced batteries. Got on YouTube and they even said if these solutions don't work it's defective. I thought p&g took pride in their equipment.
I actually loved the Wetjet when it worked, but like so many others, the handle is still flawed. A curved handle is always a bad decision. It puts too much stress on the handle and it will eventually break, yet Swiffer keeps making curved handles. I tried taping it to fix it, but the tape doesn't hold.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate the Swiffer Wetjet, and I can only assume that all the positive reviews are from people who are willing to overlook bad design for the convenience factor that the Swiffer offers. And I agree it is convenient to be able to mop without getting the big mop bucket out. You can spot clean or clean your whole floor on a whim without the commitment of dragging out a heavy bucket and getting everything soaking wet. But the Swiffer Wetjet has too many problems for me to overlook. It is not nearly as maneuverable as they would have you believe, and it is almost impossible to get it under things with low floor clearance like bookcases and sideboards. Mostly, it pushes wet dirt, lint, and hair around, rather than trapping it, which is a nightmare for me, because I have to follow it up with a dry Swiffer afterwards to collect up all the lint balls and clumps of linty pet fur that got squished into a corner, or collected around the legs of a table. But the thing that drives me mad and makes me want to hurl the entire thing out the window, is that the handle is too long, and has a sharp L-shaped bend at the top, with a matte soft-touch plastic loop that I assume is for hanging. That giant O-shaped soft touch loop catches on absolutely everything: your shirt, your pants, if you have waist-length hair like me, et cetera, and it gets tangled instantly when you are simply going back and forth with the mop. It's enraging. It's as if the mop was designed by men who never bothered to consider female bodies.
Horrible!!!pads do not stick to mop. Trigger mechanism works half the time. Very temperamental
The worst product I've ever Bought. I had to replace it twice now. I only cleaned this and it's such a waste of money.
My old one lasted several years but quit working. So I decided to replace it with a new one which was a mistake. Use about half a bottle (few times) and it stopped working even after making sure the new batteries were good
There is a flaw in the design. I purchased my swiffer wet jet less than 5 months ago and it isn't working anymore. I switched the batteries. I opened the product to further investigate and to my surprise, the wires are completely rusted. I figured that the flaw in the design is that the bottle leaks into the products internal hardware, thus short circuiting the pump. This product should be pulled away from the market and the company should refund and compensate the many unsatisfied customers.
I purchased a stiffer jet to replace my old one stopped working after having it for 5 plus years. Got the new one out of the box worked three days and stopped working. So thought okay so I purchased another one it did the same. Your older one was great. The newer system does not work.
The area that the pad is supposed to hold on to, does not hold it. I've had this for several years and every time I try to use it. It's just a waste of my time and I end up having to do it by hand. I've even googled how to use it In case I'm doing something wrong, but I'm not. It just does not stick. Is that supposed to be some kind of a Velcro sticking system because it isn't. Maybe mjne is defective, but there is just a very light sort of velcro on the mpp itself and it doesn't hold on to any kind of pads
