This is a surprisingly powerful shredder, that you can drop unopened junk mail, cd's, and lots of paper, and it just works ! I am very impressed by how at how much it can handle at 1 time. So much better than the shredders we used at work before no jamming, this is a keeper!
I received a free sample of the Swingline 6750X Shredder for my business to try in exchange for my honest review. I was first of all impressed with the size and functionality of the machine. The bin can hold 31 gallons of shreds and has wheels for easy mobility. One of its best features is the app which is easy to download and keeps you up to date with the job status of the machine. It also lets you know when the bin is full or the shredder is jammed. This machine can shred up to 300 sheets at a time and has the ability to shred credit cards/ dvds and cds/ card stock/ glossy paper as well as shreds documents with staples and paper clips. It is very quiet and comes out of the box ready to use. For sensitive documents, it has a pin protected lockable paper chamber to keep them secure while jobs are in progress. This machine will help keep our office running smoothly.
What a wonderful instrument for shredding. I can't believe all of the hidden gems I found while operating this fine piece of machinery, for instance, it has a self loading option, which can be operated from an App, which is totally user friendly...like how awesome is that! Being that I manage my own real estate and have created a room in my home to use as an office space, I need to shred daily and this product makes my life so much easier. While it's large design is a little off putting, what you receive in exchange is insurmountable. From its sleek design, user friendly settings, App accessibility, maintenance free ability, and the facts that it is 100% automated, you will be truly blown away. I also left out the most important detail, IT IS SO QUIET!!! Unbelievable!!!! This shredder has by far exceeded my expectations, to the point nothing that I have previously own even comes close. So glad I own this gem!!! Pro's: Design, automated everything, self lubricating, noise control, App accessibility, user friendly on setup, usage and App settings, Maintence free, large capacity, automatic feed, anti-jam feature and extended warranty. Con's: Size/weight and a bit pricey-but well worth it.
This shredder is the perfect size for a home office or small business. I currently use it in my home office, which I run my business out of. It is user friendly and the instructions are easy to follow. It is extremely simple to set up, no assembly required, you just need to add the oil to the reservoir before being able to start using. My favorite features would be the large capacity shredding (up to 750 sheets), the large capacity waste bin and the ability to lock the paper loading door during the shredding of confidential papers. Pros: Maintainence free, Automatic oiler for lubicration, Automatic sleep mode, Automatic feed compartment for large capacity shredding job so no need to stand around and manually feed, No need to remove staples or small paperclips before shredding, Automatically clears jams, Separate collection bins for paper and CD's/credit cards for easy recycling. Cons: A little pricey but well worth the investment This product is far superior to any other shredder I have previously used. I would highly recommend it to my friends and colleagues.
This is a great product, designed for fairly heavy /consistent shredding needs. If you need a shredder for occasional or non-heavy duty use this probably isn't the product for you as it's fairly bulky in size and quite heavy (especially if you use it for personal or small home-office use). However, a huge plus is that the device is on casters so despite its size and weight it is a breeze to move around. It comes very well packaged and is relatively easy to unpack and begin shredding quickly. As for functionality, the shredder operates fairly quietly (for as heavy-duty as it is) and it's great that you can simply insert up to 750 sheets of paper and then walk away and let it do it's thing. The app is cool, too, in that you can be sent status notifications to let you know when it's done, if it's jammed, etc. The ability to "protect" your documents to be shredded with a pass-code is nice, although for most people this will probably be unnecessary. The bin to collect the shredded documents is easy to access and is large enough to where it doesn't have to be emptied very often, which is a huge plus - in addition to the fact that you can see how much of the bin space is used up through the little window. The self-cleaning cutters are a nice feature, too, to help prevent jams. It's also nice that you don't have to worry about small paperclips and staples as this shredder easily cuts through those. All in all, this is a great product but for most users, it's probably an overkill. But, if you or your business shred a lot, the efficiency you'll gain by having this shredder is great and if you currently pay for an outside company to shred your documents for you, this might be a great way to save some money!
This shredder can do the job if stacks placed in the shredder are not too creased. It does try to work through any mis-feeds on its own and it's a 50/50 chance it will without you having to open it and re position the paper. I have shredded up to what equals about a full ream of paper without any problem. I like the fact that you can put it in the machine and walk away while it does it's job. Also, being able to feed up to 10-12 pieces of paper manually is handy, especially when shredding smaller that letter size paper. The machine is surprisingly quiet while shredding. One thing that Swingline needs to improve is the magnetic closures for the front door. Once the bag inside gets full, it pushes the door open and the shredder stops working. If the closure was stronger, you could fit more in the recyclable bags.
I don't like to stand at the shredder--and now I don't have to! Great idea! The only thing that kept it from a perfect rating? The bin has to be emptied before the entire stack shreds. I can't wait for the upgrade to fix it and it will be PERFECT!
The shredder is a little loud and somewhat slow. Cannot put more than 10 papers in at one time or it will jam. Hate the bag area, seems flimsy tried the plastic bag it was too big and the paper bag was not easy to use. The app is good for re-ordering bags but didn't see any other benefits to the app.
This shredder does its job but there were several surprising aspects. It is very large, heavy and came on a wooden pallet. I found I had to rearrange our copy room to accommodate the size. It's about the size of 2 mini fridges stacked on top of each other. It shreds large amounts of paper very well. As long as those papers are not stapled or are a small size, you set it in the bulk shred compartment and walk away and it will do the rest. However, other than that feature, I don't see the difference between using a smaller shredder. You still have to remove staples and if the pages are smaller than 8.5x11 you have to feed it through the single feed tray at the top. On top of that, the machine requires oil (which was busted when i opened the packaging) and a replacement bags for where the shredded material is stored within the machine. The anti-jam feature is nice though and will work to remove jams on its own.
At first, I believed this product is awesome and will help our company to save time. The stack and shred idea is great (on paper). But results - I have to be there and operate it all the time! Every 20 seconds it stops working, I end up devoting more time to it than I should. I regret purchasing it, and will not recommend anyone to purchase it as well.
