This pan completes the hard anodized set of cookware. In the past, a pan this size was called a "chicken fryer". It is a deep skillet-like pan, big enough to cook a whole chicken at one time. I recommend you buy this pan when you purchase the set.
Love this frypan! I use it nearly everyday and it still looks great. Nothing sticks, heats evenly, easy cleanup. I'm buying a second one for my mother!
I'm not a big cook, but this pan is a perfect fit. Not too big, not too small, perfect depth, comes with a lid and cooks evenly. Can't ask for more than that. It says you can use metal utensils carefully, but who'd want to press their luck.
I was simply looking to replace a worn out fry pan and was lucky enough to choose this one. Food doesn't burn on, never sticks, cleans great in the dishwasher without prewashing, love the steam hole in the cover, love the cooshy yet oven safe handles. The only drawback is that the outside starts to look ashy and dry after a few washings...but a little oil fixes that right up.
Bought one for my camper. It gets used very hard and holds up so well I bought one for my house. The no-stick coating seems very thick and solid so that nothing sticks to it and nothing scratches it either. Have been using these for two years now in both places! Need a big chicken fryer now.
If you have a small stove/kitchen, this 10" pan is great. I use it to fry chicken. Although you can get only 3 breasts in the pan, a 12" was too big for my stove. My Wal-mart store had a variety of 12" pans in stock but I found this one on online. The high sides and the clear lid are great. And the handle sturdy and comfortable.
So far this product is performing better than I could have hoped -- after many pans that claim to have good durability and failing miserably (despite being so careful with only silicone/plastic utensils and special teflon safe sponges to wash them) due to peeling/warping/etc. This pan (I use at least twice every day) is so easy to use/exactly as described and NOT one issue with the non stick at all!! Thanks T-Fal I will buy another one as soon as I have the spare money!
this pan is exactly what i wanted and is just what it was represented to be. i needed the high sides for both frying and cooking soups and such. if it lasts and proves durable i will be thrilled. better than usual on-line shopping experience.
