I have a 4 year old daughter who absolutely loathes her curly hair when it comes time to brush it. She cringes when I brush, despite every type of detangler spray I've ever tried to use. When it came time to try out the T is for Tame Taming Kit, I was immediately in love with the scent. The coconut scent is wonderful and not overwhelming! The taming cream is great for bedhead control as the label states, and this definitely rings true on my daughter's hair! She was patient with me while holding the plush monkey that is included in the kit. As a side note, I also have an 18 month old with straight, fine hair and the taming mist worked great on his hair! I wasn't a fan of the mini detangling brush included in the kit because of the amount of hair my daughter has, but it worked well with my son's hair. Perhaps because his hair is thinner than hers. Overall, I found that the taming cream was the most successful product in the kit and it definitely worked to tame my daughter's curly hair! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this kid's haircare product.
We received this T is for Tame Taming Kit as part of the Stellar Product Review Panel and I LOVED it. It was packaged in a very cute box, and would make a great baby shower gift or little gift set for a kid aged 1-5 who is having trouble with getting their hair brushed. Most importantly, the detangling cream smells AMAZING. Like, I use it on my one year old and then rub the leftover in my own hair, smell his head for two days, so good. Not too babyish but not overly perfumed. The spray is a nice size so it isn't awkward to hold or spray with wet hands post bath. The brush is good on thinner hair (work great for the baby) but my five year old son's long thick curls are a little harder to get through without a handle and some leverage. A friend of mine uses the same brush for her daughters long hair after the pool and she says it works well for brushing out long ends. Monkey was cute and is still in the five year old's bed. Overall I would definitely purchase the set for a friend and I will for sure rebuy the cream when I run out! A tiny bit goes a long way and the curls are defined but not greasy the next day (still wet out of the bath in the picture)
The T is For Tame Taming Kit With Plush Monkey is a great hair care set for all babies and young ones that have unruly hair. My daughter has very fine hair which tends to get unruly from sleeping. Her bed hair is out of control, causing a lot of frizz and curls to appear in all places. The kit contains a taming mist and cream, which we apply after showering and whenever we want to brush her hair. The hair products smell great, thanks to the natural coconut oils. They help hold down any frizz and unwanted puffiness without being overly greasy. The no tangle brush is easy to hold and don't tug on delicate hairs. Plus my daughter loves using the brush on the plush monkey - it's too cute! This set is perfect for a baby shower or a parent of a young child. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this kid's haircare product.
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this kid's haircare product. I live in Florida where humidity is crazy on hair. Especially for mine and my daughters' hair. Just like me, my kids have thick, curly hair that goes crazy as soon as we step outside. I've never heard of T is for Tame before but I was ready to try anything to get their hair under control. The packaging is so vibrant and cute. The animals are very cute and my kid's knew immediately this was for them. Very special feeling for them. This set has a detangler mist, cream, brush, and an adorable plush monkey. My youngest claimed him instantly. He's very soft and easy to take along anywhere. He's adorable and very well loved already. The cream has a great texture to it and the detangler mist is buttery soft. They're both very easy to use and work so well in their hair. It locks in moisture and keeps their hair looking great all day. They don't go through the frizz anymore with these products. It's exactly what I've been wanting for their hair. The scent is heavenly as well! It smells almost like a vanilla cupcake. Very, very good. And the brush is perfect for little ones to tackle those hurtful knots. Everything in this kit is fantastic! Truly something any parent would love to buy or get as a gift. Especially if they have the same issues we had. I definitely recommend. Game changer for my girls
I was gifted this kid's haircare product to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, however coincidentally, I actually purchased the taming cream months prior! Just in time too, as I am almost out. Score! My 17 month old has some seriously long curly hair that is constantly chaotic, getting into tangles, and quite frankly needs some taming (see what I did there). We don't plan on cutting his hair until age two as a personal choice, so finding a product that can manage the crazy is really important for us. The taming cream is smooth and soft, blends perfectly to the hair, really slicks back fly-always, and keeps the curls in tact. While a drawback is that the cream won't maintain for hours upon hours, I'm glad to have tried the taming mist, as it's kind of like a reinforcer on keeping the hair in place. Also love using the mist to re-tighten some loose curls throughout the day. Can't complain about the ingredients as it all seems natural, and note that there is a scent to this product - I personally love it! I feel like it's a cross between bubblegum and warm Fall! If your child has the crazy curly hair, definitely get the cream AND mist; however if their hair is on the thinner side and more straight, the cream would probably suffice. Definitely a gift I appreciated and think it would make a great one to give.
This kit is adorable, and the mist and cream both smell so good! I've noticed that I tend to use the mist more than the cream. The cream is thick and my 4 year old's hair is so thin that it just weighs it down a lot. I've found that it's better to put the cream in her hair while it's wet, but I use the mist to tame any flyaways while I'm putting her hair up in the morning. I don't mind that the cream and mist are thicker since they lack the alcohol thinners that most other products have, and I love the natural ingredients. The monkey stuffie is cute, and both of my girls love playing with it, but they don't use it like a lovey while I'm doing their hair, which I think was the purpose of it lol. My daughter also loves the brush, and she feels like it's easier for her to use that to brush her own hair than a brush with a handle. I think the brush feels too shallow, like I'm not always brushing all the way through her hair, so I use our regular brush. But I love the sense of independence that the kit's brush is giving her! I don't think it would necessarily be a good baby shower gift, but it would make a good birthday or small Christmas gift to a toddler or preschooler who wants to start being more independent and doing their own hair (with help, of course lol). And thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this awesome hair kit for my girls!
My 5yr old despises detangling/brushing her curls but the first time I tried the brush she instantly commented that she loved it because it didn't hurt her hair! I own several detangling brushes but this has to be her favorite. It detangles well with minimal pulling. It worked well on my 1yr old son as well. The taming mist provided great moisture and worked really well on damp hair to give curls a boost. On dry hair it did not refresh the curls much but still provided moisture. Both of my kids hair tends to be on the dry side so I sprayed a little too much the first time and ended up making their curls heavy and dull. Less is definitely more to start. The taming cream worked well especially for ponytails and keeping the ends of the hair from becoming frizzy. This product was heavier and thicker and did a nice job smoothing flyaways. I was given this kid's haircare product to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I have to say it is definitely a winner!
I received this kid's haircare product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The packing for this set is so cute. I love that it's bright and includes the stuffed animal monkey- my son likes to carry it around the house. At first I wasn't sure if the hair products would work for my son's curly hair type, but I was pleasantly surprised. I use the spray a bit more as he tends to need a product that can be used thoroughly on all of his hair and the lighter spray works better for this. However, the cream isn't too thick, it just works better when his hair is already wet. I do wish the set included a wide-tooth comb as well, as this wouldn't brush out his curls as the included brush does. That is the only thing I would suggest! Overall, I'm so happy with this set!
So, first of all—I've really been enjoying these products. Especially the taming cream which I've even been using on my own hair. They both smell great, and they really do what they claim to—they tame the frizz and make our hair more manageable, even with a variety of textures from thick/coarse and wavy to fine/soft and straight. I do dilute them a bit for my 2-year-old as she doesn't have a whole lot of hair yet so it's easy to over-apply. A little goes a long way! I love that they are paraben, phthalate, and silicone-free, and again (I cannot overstate this) they smell amazing. My favorite product is definitely the taming cream. It is silky smooth and doesn't weigh down our hair at all (and have I mentioned the smell??!). The set as a whole comes in a cute package (my daughter loved the lion toy) and *visually* the products are very well-done. I love the clean branding. The packaging is cute enough that it would look great with just a bow or in a gift basket. My only qualms are with the palm brush and the spray bottle used for the taming mist. The palm brush is difficult to use without any sort of grip on the edges, so I wasn't able to actually use it without it going flying out of my hands. And the fingertip sprayer on the taming mist is difficult to press down while the bottle is shaped as such that when I do press on it, the whole bottle just slides down through my hand. I had to place the bottle flat onto the counter so that I could spray the product into my hand, then apply it to my kid's hair with my fingers. Obviously this is an inconvenience—but the product itself does work well even if the packaging could be better. If I could review them separately, I would absolutely give 5 stars for the products and 3 for the packaging, but alas... I think a trigger style spray bottle would be much more ergonomic and easy to use. Overall I think this is a great product line and I think it'd make a great gift set for anyone with kiddos. I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review.
I thought this product and packaging was cute when I got it. I liked the fact that it came with a brush and the cute stuffed monkey for the little ones. My kiddo didn't play with for more than a minute, which is fine since he's not into stuffed animals. I liked that both the cream and the spray had the same smell and it wasn't an overwhelming one. It can also be used on dry and wet hair. The packaging mentioned the spray will come out white due to the coconut oil. That was okay with me but I didn't like that it lingered a little longer than my other coconut oil sprays did on dry hair. I also liked that despite the whiteness, it de-tangled his hair really well. So the T in TAME was spot on. On wet hair, it worked a lot better and the whiteness cleared up a lot faster. For the cream, I used that on my older kiddo to help tame and calm fly aways, but it did nothing for her. It sleeked the hair a bit, but was no different than any other hair cream. Overall, this is a great gift for baby showers as new parents can easily manage baby's hair. It's free of parabens and dyes and is made using coconut oil. I absolutely loved that after applying it, washing your hands is effortless. There's no oily residue and rinses off easily. While this is a great product, it doesn't work well for textured hair. If I have no other product on hand, I'll make use of this, but I probably won't go out of my way to buy it. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this T is For Tame Taming Kit With Plush Monkey. I enjoyed using it.
