I bought this phone about 10 days ago to replace my 3-yr-old Razr that was reaching the end of its life. It was a little hard to get used to at first (I really loved my Razr!!) but the more I use it and learn the functions, the more I love it. It has some really nice features for the $$.
I am rather new to cell phone use. I picked this model as it is easier for me to operate and understand. The only thing I am disappointed about is there are no cases available for this phone. When I bought it I was to receive 1 and then we found out there were none. Other than that my favorite thing is how long it stays charge and how quickly it charges.
I think it is a nice phone and at a resonable price. the camcorder part of the phone is not good but if anyone can figure it out please let me know but my daughter has the phone cause she texts a lot. it takes really good pictures. it is worth it to buy.
I am a teen and i bought this phone for myself, because I lost my old one. This phone is really great! It is easy to use, and totally adorable. I've even dropped it numerous times, and it didn't even leave scratches! The qwerty keyboard is spaced perfectly and fun to text on. The phone has not once frozen like my old, junky phone did in the months I've had it. It takes high quality pictures, also. I highly recommend this phone!
Switched from basic plan I've had for 7+ years to a pay as you go plan through T-Mobile and am saving $30/month now. This phone solves every problem I had with my 7 year old Samsung phone (e315?). The volume button goes much higher (so I can actually hear someone talking even when I am in the car or at the store), the camera is a full megapixel better, the slide out keyboard makes the stupid T-9 obsolete, I can message "Happy Thanksgiving" to more than one person at a time, the screen "flips" when I turn the phone to type a message...so I can still read it, it has WAY more memory so I don't have to delete all messages to receive the next one, it's easy to add new contacts, the alarm lets me "snooze" and I can set all three alarms to be recurring (instead of one that I have to set each night). It was super easy to switch over to this phone and I am over the moon happy with it. Perfect for someone who wants some hi-tech features but does not need the full i-phone-esque experience. Who needs aps? I'm just trying to text my friend and fiance about weekend plans! Great little phone!
beware, the area checker on walmart.com doesn't work for beans. if you go on the t-mobile site, for instance, you can see that it has moderate coverage in the area in which i live, but the checker says it won't work. who to trust, the second party, or the producer? i think the producer. don't be off-put by the area checker! check the maker site!
I just got this phone, Its not one of the best and im not calling it bad, because its not bad at all! its a very good phone, Your able to text with the great QWERTY style pad, IM, and get on the web pretty fast. Overall this phone is GREAT! I would recommended this phone, it also has alot of customization options to truly make this phone your own.
This is a replacement phone for my wife. She uses her t-mobile sim card and current account for phone uses. Absolutely loves the full qwerty keyboard. Being able to feel the keys is better than a virtual onscreen keyboard. One caveat: If you have a phone case with a magnetic closer, it will unlock your phone without your knowledge. This may result in data fees or extremely dark photos of the inside of the case.
This is a nice little phone. I love the slide out keypad; it makes texting dramatically easier to accomplish. That is what initially attracted me to it. The ability to take photos and video is also really handy. As a lot of cell phones, the picture quality isn't up to par with a digital camera, but it's still not bad. It's not always necessary to have a high quality photo if you're uploading to social networking or other websites. One draw back with taking video or photos is that there is no flash on this phone. So, don't expect to be using it in a dimly lit room. The MicroSD card slot however makes saving and transferring pictures really easy. This also allowed for me to add my own pictures and music to the phone (which I've used as my wallpaper and ringtones, respectively). A lot of laptops have a slot for SD cards and buying a MicroSD card will have an SD adapter. I would highly recommend picking one of these up if you wish to expand your phone's memory. I've had this phone for about 8 months or so. One thing that I would say as criticism is that once in a great while the slide out keypad sticks a little when sliding. The other thing about the phone is that sometimes the keypad keys become either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. This can cause a double type of a letter/number or a missed one. Since I've had it for nearly a year I imagine both of these things can be due to that. I do text quite a lot more now that it's so easy to do. Despite its negligible side effects, I would definetely recommend picking this phone up. It's nothing too fancy, but the convenient features it does have make it a great phone to have regardless.
I purchased 2 of these and after I picked my online order up at the store, I went home to activate them. I had checked with TMobile prior to purchasing, to make sure they would work, and to decide what plan I would use, so I went to activate online and it would not work. I then had to call TMobile to try to activate over the phone, and they still would not work, and then the operator told me to take them back, as they were not capable of being activated, that they had "cold codes". Meaning, codes that were no good. I have been trying for months to get a prepaid phone that I like activated and nothing works out. I don't know where the other reviewers purchased their phone, in store, or online, but I have found the online phones do not come operable. It was an extreme inconvenience to make another trip to return them also, as I do not live close to Walmart and due to Christmas, needed my refund right away. As far as the phone, be careful taking the back off to put the simm card and battery in, it seems it may break easy. Also, the menu seems very plain and dull. My 11 yr old wanted this phone for its keyboard, and it was to be his Christmas present, his first cell phone, now he will not have one in time for the holiday. I dont know when we will ever have one that actually works.
