High quality wood that easy clean. The Tasty 12 x 18 brand chopping block is another high end kitchen item. The block is thick and sustain chops, knicks and cuts from your knives to deliver a precision surface for cutting vegetables and fruits for cooking and food prep. I also use my food block as a sandwich board so it is helpful that the board easily wipes up with soap and water. The wood is thick and splinter proof so I can always have the cutting board on display. I really love this kitchen line.
First thing, this chopping block is way bigger than I thought it would be. I love how thick and sturdy it is. It will last for a long time. The board has a smooth side and the other side has grooves/ridges around the board to prevent spilling. I love this board and enjoy using it for everything in my kitchen.
My first impression was "Wow, this is a heavy cutting board!" It's made completely out of wood. It's a good size and takes up almost half of my stove-top area. It's a beautiful board, I love the side detail. It's nice enough to be left out. Performance wise, it did well. I cut a watermelon and no juices leaked over the sides. The groves do their job collecting liquids. Clean up was easy and pretty straight forward. Overall, I'm impressed by this product and for sure recommend to anyone needing an attractive, quality chop block.
This chopping block is bigger than I thought, which is a good thing, I am able to cut large size fruits and meats with plenty of room. I really like that there is little to no spillage when using g this board. It has 2 handles that come in very handy when using as a serving board or just to move it from one place to the other. It is very sturdy and of good quality so far.
I received this pidcut and Hinestly I was going to use it to chop but it looks so pretty that it will be perfect to place cheese and crackers and some grapes, looks pretty sturdy and elegant, also seems to be a good addition for my home reunions. Definitely a rear product with a awesome price I highly recomend this board chopp.
The Tasty 12x18 Chop Block Board is a life-saver for prepping food! I first noticed the weight of the board. It was not too heavy and light enough to easily pick up and carry around. I like this because it makes it easy to store in my cupboards. I also love the eco-friendly bamboo surface. The color is gorgeous and it really sticks out. When cutting fruits, the juice flows into the juice well on the edges of the board making it spill-proof and leaving no mess to be cleaned up. This is my favorite feature and saves me a lot of "clean-up" time! I love how I can use this for displaying my food as well. It works as a cheese board and is very stylish. This board is a must for every kitchen and makes cutting up food easy and fun!
I use this as an extension of counter space and a chopping block, but more so as an extension of counter space. It is a sturdy, heavy block that stays in place on the counter or wherever you put it. It is made of bamboo and can be used on either side. One side has the recessed wells for liquid or whatever to be scraped off to, and the other side is flat. It is an attractive color and design. It has the “Tasty” name/logo etched on one end of the board. It is about 1 and 1/4 -inch thick with recessed handles on the shorter sides of the board that make it easier to move and carry. Given the weight of this block having the handles is extra helpful, especially when you have food on the block. The care instructions say to hand wash with warm, soapy water and wipe dry immediately after use. Do not soak in water, microwave or put in dishwasher. It washes/rinses off really easy. If running it under warm water and wiping with your hand doesn't get the food off, taking a dish rag soaked in warm water and wiping it off will. Then dry immediately with a paper towel and put it out to finish air drying. It also says occasional conditioning with food-safe mineral oil is recommended. I haven't had to condition mine yet, because it's still so new.
This is a heavy, thick, large and well made cutting board. The bamboo look is perfect for an updated kitchen look. The color is a lighter wood. I wanted a board to leave on the counter that added style to the decor of the kitchen and this one looks great. The number one best thing about this board is the no-drip indentation for the liquid to spill into instead of spilling onto the counter or worse the floor. Therefore, cutting large fruit like watermelon stays on the board instead of making a mess of the counter. I have always been hesitant to have a wooden cutting board since it can't just go into the dishwasher. I have since learned that all I need to do is wash it with warm water and then add olive oil every so often to keep the wood healthy. I have washed this board several times already and added oil twice and it looks just as it did when I received it. The knife marks in the wood have been minimal and I'm guessing the wood is better on the blade of my most favorite kitchen knives. This board has been great for cutting all types of veggies and fruit. I believe it will hold up really well for many years from what I have seen so far.
This eco friendly bamboo cutting board is big and heavy (12" x 18")...Also very solid and thick...it's easy to clean and it also dries quickly, which is exactly what I needed...It's great for cutting pizza, veggies, meat, etc...I am very pleased with this product...I love that the build seems to be such that it will eliminate any splitting like I've experienced with other wood cutting boards...I am very impressed with this cutting board, it's definitely high quality and solid wood...the only concern I have is that it might be too heavy for some people...and also a lil too cumbersome to store...other than that it's perfect!
I am just loving this fabulous Tasty chop block. I'm amazed at the quality of the bamboo used to design and craft this chop block! What I first noticed about this Tasty chop block was it's wonderful size.It's so nice and thick. It is a heavy block, which is the perfect size for cutting up my large melons. I can cut through my fruits and veggies so easily on this block and it stays put, and doesn't move. I love the well that was carved all along the ridge of the block so it catches all the juices, and they stay put! No more juices spilling onto your counter and making a mess! My chop block sits out on my island at all times, so I really appreciate the beautiful looks of this chop block. You will just love the beautiful design on the sides with the bamboo cut in a vertical design. I've never seen this before, and really love that it's so unique. This is such a beautiful feature. I use my chop block everyday. I am constantly cutting up the veggies for my salads, or fruits, and I love that the block doesn't dull my knives. Another wonderful feature is when I'm done cutting and chopping, I can rinse off, and use the opposite side as a tray.Love the handy built cut outs for handles, it makes carrying it a breeze. I first primed the tray by putting some mineral oil on a paper towel and wiped it on, I let it set,then wiped off a few minutes later. All in all this chop block from Tasty is not only well made, but it's a beautifully designed chop block. I've even had some friends compliment how pretty it is. This block will last for years and years!
