I have mixed feelings about this scale because I only paid $10.00 for it. If I had of paid what it is now listed at $30.00 I would be pretty upset. I received it in and loved it. It was completely on point and accurate. I know this because I compared it to another scale that I had which was not digital. Anyway. It worked great for 3 weeks and I literally only weighed in once a week because I was doing a weight loss challenge. After using it 3 times it just stopped working. I have no clue what the issue was because the battery that is in it is flat and round. I had no clue where to even start looking for that type of battery. I didn't even go through the trouble of buying a new battery because I wasn't sure if that was the issue anyway. I called the manufacturer. They sent me another one. No hassle at all which is a good thing. Hopefully the second one works better then the first.
As with a similar reviewer, the platform on this scale cracked after less than a year (and I'm a 130 lb. female!). This makes the readings inconsistent from one minute to the next. Better to invest in a better quality scale.
Scale appeared to have a pretty accurate weight and was easy to use. After 7 months of use, however, the metal footplate simply cracked when it was stepped upon. Now the scale still works, if you're not interested in accuracy (we'd love if the weight it displays - about half of your real weight - was correct, right?). The scale offers a limited warranty, but by the time you ship it to their office, you've nearly paid for a new one.
This scale was never right. Each time, I used it, I would have a new number (often with a 50 pound difference within a few minutes). Very poor quality. I switched back to the standard. It never worked from the beginning. Would NOT recommend to anyone, even my worst enemy (who I would love to see the scale keep going up!). P.S. Says it is only availible online, but I bought it at a store in Cleveland, Ohio!
