Greetings! I am a Walmart Sparks Reviewer and today I will be doing a review on TCL Electronic Room Air Conditioner for larger Rooms. Wow! I must say I am highly impressed with this air conditioner. It is a huge one! So, let me get started on what I do love best about this fantastic air conditioner! First, this unit is a 15,000 BTU and an Energy Saver. It is electronic and comes with a remote controller, so I do not have to approach the air conditioner to operate the system by hand. I can adjust the thermostat and cut it on and off. Just only with the push of a button! Perfect! Second, it has two moveable air vents in which I can adjust up and down, move straight across or move them both in opposite directions which is super! Third, I most definitely love the cool blast of air. It keeps the other side of my room very cool, and the air travels unto the next room keeping it cool as well. Superb! Fourth, it has a lot of cool futures and displays the room temperature on the facing of the air conditioner. Nice! However, there are only a few suggestions I do highly recommend: having at least 2 or 3 people to assist with the window installation because it is heavy; make sure all the parts are included and arrange them in group order; and last but not least, follow all instructions carefully to make sure the air conditioner is securely installed in the window properly. On the other hand, there is nothing that I dislike about this this air conditioner. I truly love it, and I know Summer will be just a cool breeze for me and my family. This air conditioner is truly amazing! It feels like the Artic Breeze! My family and I are enjoying this wonderful air conditioner and just can't wait to get home to relax and cool off! All I can say is that we love this TCL Air Conditioner!
The large room window ac definitely cools the room down. This is a large window unit. The ac unit comes with an installation guide with easy to read instructions. The unit also comes with a remote control and the batteries for the remote. The display is digital and easy to understand and use. The ac uses a 3 prong power supply cord. It also includes the window filler panel that you will use during installation. The support bracket is included as well. The ac cools well and is not too loud. You will hear a clicking noise when the compressor turns on and off. The display is digital and it includes a timer. The remote has a power, cool, temp setting, sleep, timer, auto mode, fan speed, display, eco and fan only buttons. The eco mode will turn the unit off once the room is cooled to the user set temperature. The unit will automatically turn back on when the room temperature rises above the set temperature. The fan will run first during this mode before the compressor to help conserve energy. The unit works great for a large room. This unit is heavy and you will need two people for assembly. We are very happy with this item and would recommend to others.
I got this window unit because our air conditioner keeps freezing up and having all kinds of issues. My mother just recently had a heart attack and she cannot make it through a Texas summer without an air conditioner. At first, I was afraid that the cord would not reach from the window to the outlet, but I was happy to find that the cord is very long and will work great! I am so happy it comes with a remote, so she won't have to get up every time she wants to adjust the temperature or anything else. I love the sleep setting and the eco setting will ensure the room is always the right temperature and save lots of electricity so I appreciate that! The air conditioner cools my mother's room, and a good deal of the living room and kitchen. I am excited about cooking this summer because we'll still be cool! The digital panel is a little difficult for my sister whom is legally blind, but we anticipated that and she's memorizing the buttons on the panel as well as the remote and will be able to help operate most of it this way. The filter is super easy to remove for cleanings. Install was easy and it came with everything we needed. All of the different vent knobs really do allow air to get right where you want it. I love all of the different cooling and fan speeds so I can find just what we need to beat the heat.
Good afternoon everyone today I would like to tell you about the all new TCL Window/wall air conditioner unit model number Taw15cre19. First off I would like to say that my home air-conditioning unit was failing. I live in north Alabama and today's temperatures were in the upper 80s. That's hot! As you all already know a brand new central air unit can be very costly I had a quote for a price of $4500 and I just can't afford that not right now anyways.So what are my options you may ask? Well that's where the TCL window/wall air conditioner unit came in to play it's way cheaper than $4500. So to give you a little Idea of how the product is installed and how well it actually works. So it is a little tricky to install as not all windows are the same but it is pretty self-explanatory. You also have detailed instructions and many different mounting options for the unit it is a little heavy so it is definitely a two-man job. Once you have the air conditioner unit installed you will be amazed. It is so easy to set up you can control the temperature. The fan speed has three different speeds low medium and high as well as the auto cut off feature, which is a great option to have. So to get to the good part this unit has currently froze me out of my house. Did I mention the fact that the average cost to run this air-conditioner unit is approximately $125 a year? That's pretty nice! Hopefully in the long run it will save me a lot more money to where I can fix my central air conditioning unit. I would hands-down recommend this product to anyone who is in need of some serious cooling in their house or on a strict budget and can not afford to get things fixed right away. It just blows you away literally.
The old window AC unit was on it's last legs, being twenty years old and cooling like it used to. Here was the new replacement, same BTU's as the old one, but modern and with a lot of new features and a remote, no more getting up to change the temperature or other settings. The unit weighs in at 116 pounds so a little help with installation would come in handy. The installation kit is a breeze to install, the instructions are easy to read and well laid out. The unit is energy star rated, as long as you use all the economy settings on the unit. I recall the unit being a 11.9 SEER rating. Built in Auto protection and ECO mode are nice, in ECO mode the display will shutoff during sleeping hours, so no bright display will bother you as you sleep. A filter service reminder will tell when its time to clean the filter. The louvers are adjustable with and eight way layout so you can get air anywhere in the room. It is much quieter than the unit that it replaces so it's much more comfortable in the living room while watching tv or just sitting there reading. There a lot of setting that can be used to make the room comfortable to everyone. Can't wait to see how money it save us.
This AC has “BY FAR EXCEEDED” all my “EXPECTATIONS”! TCL 15,000 BTU Energy Star Window Air Conditioner; White! I'll hopefully put a ton of useful information in this review that will be helpful for you to decide whether you would purchase this AC unit over others! I personally just love this AC, I love it's looks, its super simple to use and to install! The front of the AC unit has curved looking ends, whereas my old ac only had square ends making it look bland. The curves and the display are very nice and very appealing to me. I also love the fact that the AC vents where the air comes out of is two smaller separated vents, and not one super long one; this is super useful as over the years the longer ones always seem to break up and then you're just looking at a large empty vent hole. It's an Energy Star rated AC which is awesome as it allows you to compare the cost of using this to other units the same size that are not Energy Star rated. This AC costs approximately $125.00 to use per year, while other units of the same size run all the way up to $182 per year to use. This AC runs super nice and quiet in my opinion and it can cool off a large room in just no time flat! It also comes with a remote control and the batteries are included; it's not small or really large but its definitely a good size to use and to not lose, so just another added benefit! Display Features are really, really nice on this AC! You have 3 different cooling and fan speeds to choose from as well as a ½ hour to 24-hour timer to use to turn off and to turn on the AC at your convenience. The timer feature is awesome if you work, as you can set it to come on a couple of hours before you get home; coming home to a cool house. In the old days we always had to leave the unit running all day and spending loads of money on using something we weren't even home to enjoy. So overall the sleep timer and the 24-hour timer can truly save you a ton of time and money for sure. The instructions are super easy to read and to follow; as well there is an ez install kit that's included! In most cases depending on your abilities it will take you 20-minutes to 1-hour to have it completely installed; at least that's in my opinion. The unit is heavy so when you get ready to put it in the window or through a wall you will need another person to help you for sure! One last tip before I give the overall consensus, well two tips: When FedEx delivered my AC, I met him at the truck and it was flipped up on its side, basically leaving the AC sitting in the wrong position for who knows how long. The compressors in these AC's have oil in them and they sit at the bottom half of the compressor, when the unit is turned funny or sitting on its side etc. then the oil can get up into the lines where the freon and gases run; which in turn can cause a plug in the system, making your unit not work and having a costly repair. Walmart offers an extra warranty offer on all their items, and on anything that costs me over $100.00 I always purchase it, as it can save you a ton of money as well as a ton of headaches should you have any problems at all. So last but not least when you know you're AC has been sitting in the wrong position then just set it to the right position; the way the arrows show on the box will help you if it's still packed up and just let it sit for 24 hours before you turn it on and use it. This usually allows all the oil to drain back to where it came from and you're good to go. This AC is packed up super well and it would be really hard to damage it in shipping the way they have used the shipping items to pack it with. There are two shipping screws that need to be removed before using, they are in your instructions but truly its just the two screws right on top of the machine, one will have a tag attached marking it. One last thing when you install this AC remember to tilt it down in the back at a slight angle so the water coming from rain etc. will drain at the rear outside and not at the front inside. OVERALL: I just love this air conditioner; its quality is exceptionally good! Looks of the AC itself is really nice with curved instead of squared edges! Runs super nice and quiet and cools off our large two rooms super nice and fast! The filter is super easy to clean with dish soap and water; dry then put right back in; the indicator light to clean it goes off at 500 hours of use! The sleep and the regular 24-hour timers will save you a boat load of overuse for no reason and a lot on your energy bill! Using the timers optimizes when you want it to run or not to run! It's an Energy Star rated AC and costs approximately $125.00 a year to run, which is super reasonable for this size of Air Conditioner, whereas others of this size can cost you around $190.00 a year to run. Easy instructions to follow and comes with a very easy to use hardware install kit! Comes with a very nice sized remote control and does come with batteries as well! I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS AC TO ANYONE AT ALL, WITHOUT ANY HESITATION! I've been in love with it since I first unpacked it, and I loved it a ton more when I seen the quality and all the options of the timers for uses! It's super easy to operate and to use the timers, and it just plain works great, runs quiet, and looks great as well! Highly, Highly Recommended!
Living in Texas means a sweaty spring summer and fall. We have central heat and air but come July and August it runs non stop. We live in a 1000 square foot mid 90's single wide mobile home. You can imagine how rough it gets! We installed (my husband and i) this big booty beauty in the middle of the house where the living room is. I was scared it wouldn't fit! But it did just fine. We did make a kind of stand under it for extra support just a precaution . It's cooling my living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry room in not time. The air is forceful and cool when it comes out but the unit itself is pretty quiet compared to my washer and dryer or dishwasher. It's more of a hum if anything. It has an easy to read digital display. The buttons on the front are large and easy to read. I do like that it has a sleeper setting and a timer just use the arrow buttons to set it. It also has a dry air setting which is neat. I'm guessing all the other units I've used are old because I've never seen that before. Overall an awesome unit especially for a small home.
Item works good although we couldn't get the app to control the unit. The unit is heavy but installation was fairly easy because you actually install the case in the window and then slide the actual air conditioner back into the case. Since the unit is so heavy this made installation fairly easy although you will need two people to slide the unit back into the case because of the weight.
TCL 15,000 BTU Energy Star Window Air Conditioner; White was selected via the Wal Mart Spark Reviewer Program in exchange for my honest opinion. The shipment was fast and boy oh boy is this thing big and heavy. You certainly need some help with this item. Setup was simple and easy. Comes with a remote control which is great. It also includes the batteries which is also great. This product came right on time here in Texas. It is not too hot to where we need to turn on the air just yet but we experience all seasons within one week. The temperature control on here is amazing. Once the unit reaches a certain temperature, it will shut itself off. The on/off display area is great as well so you are aware of sleeping hours. According to the guide, there is some type of notification for the filter which is amazing for me because I never know when an air filter should be changed. I have been told so many different stories. Another great feature is while in sleep mode, the set temperature automatically raises every 30-60 minutes based on the temperature inside. Highly recommend and thinking of purchasing a second unit. Bye bye central unit.
Only complaint is the condensation outside the unit fills up and the outside fan hits the water in the tray because the drain hole is higher than the outside fan so it constantly makes a pinging noise. Maybe I could drill a hole in the lower part of the drip pan ?
