I had the chance to try this TCL 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner. I would consider my room to be medium size (almost large sized) and this was really good to freshen up the whole room. Window air conditioners are supposed to be eassy to install but since my husband has been working i had to ask a professional to come and install it. The installation was fast probably because it was a professional doing it but mostly he just took out my old air conditioner and put this one on its place. Since this is 6,000 BTU i was surprised how well did made the room fresh. One of my daughters gets sick easily so i just programmed it to a certain temperature which i find better for us. Bottom line all i have to say is that even though this is a small air conditioner don't let it deceive you, it makes a wonderful job. So Yes i would recommend to anyone looking for one.
The TCL Energy Star 6,000 BTU 115V Window-Mounted Air Conditioner with Remote Control will help you keep your space cool. It's designed for rooms up to 250 sq ft in size. This air conditioner has a digital display and push buttons for easy operation. The Eco Mode conserves energy by turning off the compressor. This TCL window air conditioner has adjustable vents on the top to change the direction of the airflow. Energy star qualified: It also conserves energy by turning off the compressor when the room reaches the set temperature. 12.2 eer 6, 000 btu air conditioner for window-mounted installation. It was not difficult for my husband and I to install. It cools a smaller room up to 250 sq. Ft. With up to 1.73 pints per hour dehumidification. Modes include cool, dry, fan and auto mode. There are three cooling speeds, 3 fan speeds, plus 24-hour on/off time. I like the easy to read electronic controls and the handy remote control that makes it easy to program the air conditioner from across the room. This particular unit is equipped with a 24-hour timer for on/off functionality. The display can be turned off so that the illumination display doesn't disturb you during the night time. It has auto restart that will automatically restart with the previous function settings in case power is lost or the unit is accidentally turned off. I also can appreciate the filter cleaning light that will display after five hundred hours of use. There are also other modes like auto and sleep modes that you can use to customize various settings to accommodate any room. This unit weighs forty pounds which should be taken into consideration at installation. The measurement dimensions are 15.20 x 15.98 x 12.52 inches. This will be the perfect for our family to use in our insulated garage which we converted into a game room this summer.
I recieved this TCL 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner from Walmart Spark Reviewer for free in exchange for my honest review about it and I recommend it. It's small and it gets cold really fast. It comes with a remote control and batteries. I like that it has a digital reading on it. It's also made in China but I would still recommend this. It plugs into just a regular outlet in your home or office. It's not that loud either, I really like that about it too. Here is a couple pictures to show you. Thank you Walmart Spark Reviewer. This is really nice.
I could not wait to get this air conditioner installed into my separate garage. It always stays extremely hot throughout the summer whenever I'm working out on exercise equipment or helping with maintenance on my vehicles. This air conditioner is 6,000 BTU and can cool up to 250 square feet. I love the electronic controls and how it has an included remote control to adjust the settings from across the garage. This unit is equipped with a 24-hour timer for on/off functionality. It also conserves energy by turning off the compressor when the room reaches the set temperature. The display can be turned off/on so that the illumination doesn't display during sleeping hours. My favorite thing about this air conditioner is the auto restart that will automatically restart with the previous function settings in case power is lost or accidentally cut off. I also love the filter cleaning light that will display after 500 total hours of run time because I am all the time forgetting the clean the filters on my old ones. There are also other modes like "auto-mode" and "sleep-mode" where you can set various settings to accommodate any room. This product weighs around 40 pounds and the dimensions are 15.20 x 15.98 x 12.52 inches. So far, this product seems to work perfectly and I think it will likely last for a few hot summer months. I would most definitely recommend this product to anyone needing to cool a smaller room
The following review on the TCL 6,000 BTU WHITE WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER WITH REMOTE is based on personal opinion. Texas, it's barely April but we have already had days with the temperature hitting the 90's and it never fails my central AC Unit stops working every year for the past 4-5 years. Thank goodness for window units and this TCL with remote is pretty dang awesome! * Installation - Super easy and takes about 15 minutes, just slip the accordion slides on each side of the unit pop it in the window and plug it up. Additional screws a brackets are included, however, I take out my units during cool seasons. * Settings - Love that this unit, not only does it offer a remote with batteries but it also has ECO mode; which is a must for savings during the summer. This unit is a nice little upgrade from the standard unit and offers various settings for the fan's speed, temperature, and type (cool, dry, fan, auto). I'm accustomed to using ECO mode and I can say that it works great! My window unit does not constantly run, once it has reached the desired temperature it will turn off the fan and then cycles every few minutes checking the temperature. * Power - Works great & I really like how it does not look big and bulky like the ones we used when I was young. Even at 78 degrees/ECO/Medium/Cool this unit pushes out cool air very quickly and I feel the temperature difference in less than 10 min. Yes, I definitely recommend getting one of these window units if you struggle with the same problems that I do every year. This little unit cools down quickly and maintains a really nice comfortable temperature in the room; it's definitely a life saver; love having a remote and they have improved so much over the years!
This window air conditioner works great for our needs. We have it in our bedroom, which gets sunlight most of the day and tends to get very hot, especially during the summer. The unit comes with accordion fold sides that can expand out to various sized windows. These are white, matching the unit itself. While it provides a uniform appearance to the window once the unit is installed, I wish they were thicker or a darker color to block out more light. As you can see in the image associated with my review, they let in a lot of light. I also worry my cat may eventually figure out how to push them just right to make everything fall out or escape the house. For now, we have it additionally sealed with other means to prevent this. The unit also comes with the screws and foam needed to install and seal the window to ensure a proper seal. It does not come with any equipment to make a more secure attachment to the house than setting on the windowsill. We use metal straps to secure our air conditioning units to our house, as we live in earthquake country. The unit itself works well to cool a small to average sized room. We find it helps cool our room well, even when the sunlight is coming in thru the accordion sides. We plan to put some foam in the side area to block out the rest of the light. The unit is kind of loud, but not overly annoying, which was an important concern for us since our window is near the window of our neighbor's house and we did not want to disturb them with the air conditioner fan and compressor noise. Overall, we like this unit, I just wish the side pieces blocked out more light.
This is my review of the TCL 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner; White color I would like to start by saying that I have not owned a window unit in a long time, and they have really advanced in technology. It is energy star qualified, which I always try to buy. It is also cool that you only need a standard wall plug. The description says it will cool up to 250 square-foot room. I believe it could actually cool a room twice that size, depending on how hot you run. It is digital and also comes with a remote control, which I think is super awesome. It runs pretty quiet. It comes with insulation that can be cut to fit your window, for maximum energy efficiency. Also the accordion panels. I honestly didn't consider this brand to be a reliable one, but it has been so far. I would recommend it to someone who needs to cool an area permanently or even temporarily. It is a good value
I give this a/c unit three stars for cooling temperature only. When I purchased this unit last week I thought I was getting the same TCL 6000 BTU window unit I had purchased last year, but this one is NOT the same at all. This unit is a lot smaller, doesn't look as nice, doesn't put out nearly the air flow, and it's loud, with compressor vibrating and cycling on and off all the time. Also, the two vents on the top/front are tiny. Even on high it just doesn't put out the air. It gets louder on high, but the same low airflow. And no matter how you adjust the vents, it does nothing at all. The air comes straight out no matter what. Also, there's all these gaps inside where you can see sunlight coming through the two vents, which means bugs and dust from outside can also come right in too! I had to take the front cover off and stuff foam in all the large gaps, and the cover was a real bear to take off. There's two small screws, but once those are off it still does NOT want to come off! Who designed this thing? I really wanted to just return it, but once I opened it all up and installed it (which is when I noticed all the negatives), it's a bit too late to spend lots of time pulling it out of the window, boxing it all up and driving it back to Walmart, and waiting in line, just to have them scrutinize the box
its good when it's not too hot outside but as soon as it is in the high 90s, forget it. The air is not cold enough. I have a 11'x10' room. It should of worked. But around 3pm till night, it is hot in my room. Returning it for one that keeps my room cool.
The air coming out of this air conditioner is pretty much only a fan. This is the second delivery to my house through Walmart where the box is damaged in some way.
