Easy installation (although VESA mounting holes are on the bottom half of the TV which required lowering the mounting bracket used for my previous TV.) Easy set-up (I connected a CAT5 cable and it started downloading system updates.) Easy ROKU channel update (I was a previous ROKU customer.) Fantastic picture quality.
Amazing Black friday deal. If I had paid full price, possibly it would not have been worth it. But screaming deal and actually a very decent TV. Add in a 3 year no fault warranty for $35 and I donât know how you could go wrong. Very easy for my kids to use the built in Roku.
Wonderful tv for the price. Extremely fast processing time for all functions. Stream casts from your phone with no lag. Has legacy outputs for your older components but no rca composite outs... Beautiful color and picture. A total score for the consumer from TCL.
1. After scanning for local channels (using an antenna - we're using rabbit ears!), the TV will ask, "Set up Live TV Pause?" That's right: it will PAUSE LIVE TV, just like a DVR/TiVo, once you plug in a 16+GB USB Flash Drive. It also allows you quick replay, which also pops up closed captioning, again, just like a DVR/TiVo So, if you're the one who says, "what did she just say?", you hit the quick replay button, it backs up about 3 seconds, replays the scene WITH CLOSED CAPTIONS! 2. The channel selection shows up a CHANNEL GUIDE, with what's on for several hours for each channel. (Yes, just like a DVR/TiVo - it's the chorus line for this review) 3. Absolutely simple remote control: it's a standard Roku remote, with 4 additional buttons: TV Power, Volume Up, Volume Down
The tv works great. My wife and I love it.
Easy to set up at first it wasn't syncing with our home wifi, but once it connected was a breeze great picture and easy enough for our 6 year old to understand
I've had this tv for almost a year now, no issues at all. For the price of the TV its a good product. I have never bought any TCL products before which was my hesitation, but pleased I did . Love the colors and picture of the tv, once you adjust the settings accordingly to how you like it. There are no sound issues for me, I can hear clearly and loudly. Remember you get what you pay for, so if your looking for the true ultimate 4K experience, this is not it. But it your looking for a decent tv at a reasonable price, you won't go wrong with this.
TCL tv is garbage and a 1 yr limited warranty is crap. Who wants a TV that randomly one day no longer works due to an “update” and keeps cycling a purple screen that says “recovery mode”? If so, this is the tv for you! Also if you love buying things with 0 warranty from the seller, this tv would be great for you too.
Purchased in the beginning of the year, because of great size and picture with HDR. I started noticing these dark lighting strips on the screen and notified TCL support. TCL said they were sending out a replacement TV after I sent them pictures. They told me they could only send re-furbished TV's because I bought it over 6 months ago. The TV's would be installed onsite by one of there 3rd party installers. The first TV arrived a few weeks later to the 3rd party installers and was DOA... so they had to send it back. After phone calls to support I was informed they were sending another TV to the installers which would take a few more weeks... When the TV installer received the TV and came over to set it up, the box was trashed and multiply re-taped. After setting up the TV we found the screen wasn't even attached to the frame correctly and light was bleeding through. Also, the HDR function did not work at all, this was tested using an XBOX One X. I had the tech re-box the TV and send it back, after he took multiple pictures of the broken TV for his supervisor. To this day I still do not have a replacement TV, and TCL has sent this to "Supervisor".... just to be straight I'm in my second month trying to get this fixed.
I purchased the TCL 65 inch tv in October 2019, the TV just made a big crackling pop sound, smoke started coming from the bottom, now I have No TV and it's been 7 months, I can't get a refund...this is horrible, out of a job and TV, I still have the receipt!!!
