It's awesome to see toys of your childhood coming back for the next generation. My brother and I used to play with our TMNT toys all the time and have a blast. The kids are having a blast with theirs now too!
My kids loved the new movie and also loved these toys. We bought all (4) and my son who is 6 hasn't stopped playing with them. They also look more like the movie characters which we love!
These were perfect for our TMNT theme birthday. So glad I found these that have the characters say their catch phrases.
This talking set is annoying tothe point of appearing defective. If the arm or leg pauses movement at any time they get stuck on whatever word they're saying like a glitched robot. One example is he'll say "ninjaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" endlessly until you move the limbs to some neutral position. All of them on the shelf did it. I bought Raphael and Leonardo for my kid. I thought while playing with them he would be moving the limbs around enough for it to complete the phrases but no, it hung on almost every line while playing with him trying to get them to just talk instead of going "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa". I can see many instances ahead where it will be laying untouched and start talking by itself because they're that sensitive and we'll have to go over and jostle it back into a non talking position. Hope you're not afraid of toys that do that because this one will. Floor vibration from walking can set it off.
