Very clear footage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm highly impressed with quality of videos it captures.This Thinkware recordings are very clear day and night. I am planning to use it for driving Vlogs. It comes with all the required accessories that is needed to mount the camera. Easy to mount and can view live view from my smart phone while in action so if there is any adjustment needed I can make it. And of course there are so many other features that comes in this model, like motion detection, parking mode etc. I would certainly recommend worth having it your car.

Nice Video Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Thinkware Q1000 Front + Rear Dash Cam is awesome. I am more aware of what's going on while riding with this technology hooked up in my car. In my community, there are a lot of hit and run accidents and I've been a victim, so now I can capture any accidents and/or license plates that I can help with insurance claims or culprits on the road. I also have teen boy who has started driving, so these cameras help me watch whats going on and how he's driving my car for safety reasons. I now can record my family's journey on road trips during the spring and summer for great memories of the fantastic views while we travel. Plus, I can save time with the built-in GPS system and not get lost in other cities. I really love the quality of video that is captured. I also love the features on the camera that tell us that there's a traffic enforcement camera ahead, which is a big deal where I live. This bundle has many great features and was very easy to install and didn't take much time to do. We set the app up on the cell phone and it's all working good. I definitely and highly recommend this dash cam bundle.

Good Size Camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We're always looking for a good dashcam for the sake of terrible drivers in our area, this one seems to hold up to par. For starters, it's very small and extremely easy to install. You've got two options. Can use, the port or the cigarette lighter. You don't have to run any cables to and from in order to install. It also comes with everything you need, including the SD cards, which is pretty rare to have included in other dashcams. It has all the same typical features as other – cams give or take some. You've got the option to enable forward, assist, lane departure, etc. It's very easy to operate and it doesn't require a reading the instructions to operate. It's got big buttons so that way you can press them without wondering if you're hitting the right button or hitting the wrong button because the buttons are too small and fingers hit both. The video clarity is good but not amazing. So while it's a very good camera and sensitive to everything, you'll get your general quality camera pixelation. Not saying that's a bad thing, but if you're looking for super clear this may not be the one. That's what all the reviews say that is kind of pixelated. I'll continue to use it for peace of mind while driving because you never know when someone's going to cause a hit and run or run a red light and you're the victim. It's a good insurance backup for proof and being its sensitive to collision and lane departure, you shouldn't have any problem picking up an accident. Overall, it's a good quality camera for a good quality investment.

These are great cameras

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The box brings everything you need to install the cameras. There's a hardwire and a removable wire so you can pick which would work best for you. The instructions are easy enough but if you have doubts ask a professional. The cameras are crystal clear and you can see a great deal of detail so they're amazing. Great for insurance purposes as well.

High Quality Video Front & Rear

I purchased two of these for my vehicles, and have had one installed already. The will be installed next week. The video quality (2K) is excellent front and rear. I purchased thee after doing several days of research online for an overall excellent F/R dashcam. Fortunately I have not had to review the video for any incidents yet, but I have been reviewing the video regularly in different climate and light conditions. Again so far, I am very pleased with the video quality. The only ever so slightly annoying thing is the sensitive setting for incident recognition. No matter how low I set it, The Q1000 still beeps, (indicating an incident detected), at every little imperfection on the roadway. This does not effect in anyway the operation of the dashcam. It just marks the video file differently for easier selection. Unfortunately, since it triggers at every little bump or crack in the road you may have several such marked files, especially if you did actually have an incident you needed to review. I have not the first one installed long, so the only remaining conditions to verify will be durability and longevity.

Dash Cam

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box, the camera came with everything I needed to install and get it running (plugs, wires, adhesive, memory, and both cameras). The only thing missing was the installation instructions. The QR Codes didn't lead me straight to any instructions so I had to look up the model. Without instructions, this would have been a lot more challenging. After installing the camera, next came downloading the mobile application to set the camera, which was extremely difficult. It took me three days and three different apps to finally get my phone connected to the camera. The QR code on a quick reference sheet, had me download the wrong app. I didn't realize it was the wrong app until it wouldn't let me scan my input the serial number without giving errors. I had to poke around the side and download anything that looked remotely important. I finally was able to download the DashCamLink app. Don't use THINKWARECONNECTED nor Transparency. Neither worked. Once the camera was installed and I was able to connect it to my phone, it has been awesome! It captures really good quality video and audio as well. The best features are GPS, Wifi, rear view camera and all the safety/collision awareness features. When you download the app to your computer, it shows you all the kinematics of your car and exact location. Its a slim bodied camera that doesn't get in my way when driving, fitting perfectly between my windshield and rear view mirror. I highly recommend this camera.

Not plug and play

I bought the camera due to a review from a friend. Got the camera, it was nicely packaged and looked solidly built but with no instructions in the box. Looked online but nothing specific to the model. Did hook it up, but not sure of what app to use, downloaded the dash cam one but it didn't work. It kept asking to download an update which i did on my phone and then nothing. Tried multiple times with no luck. Went online again and tried to manually download the update to the micro SD card and then to the camera and still no luck. Emailed thinkware again but ended up calling and talking to LJ who did get me the correct update and now the app can see the camera. The live view option still does not work. I emailed LJ again for help. I am really disappointed with this considering the price of the camera. I had better luck with other cams, just plug and play no issues.
