Alexander Graham Bell - A teacher of the deaf who once remarked that if he could make the mute speak, he could also make iron talk - and, in a way, he did. He invented the telephone. Thomas Edison - As a boy, he was removed from school because he supposedly wasn't smart enough! He became the "Wizard" who developed the electric light bulb, the motion-picture projector, the phonograph and much, much more. Henry Ford - More than any other early automobile maker, he put Americans on the road. He also developed new ways of manufacturing.
