I use this to increase circulation and improve my cardio capacity. My partner has had a ton of improvement taking Perfusia-SR and has been warmer, and experiences "zombie feet" less.
I have been using this Thorne L-Arginine for nearly ten years on advice of my doctor. L-Arginine is an Amino Acid that is key to healthy arteries and that is naturally produced in the body of most people. As we age or after any heart event its production can be lessened. It was recommended for me after a heart attack Thorne is recommended by many health professionals as the purest product on the market. I have begun to buy it at Walmart since my former source changed brands to something that is not as well rated. The cost is worth it.
I can't speak to those with circulation issues. But if you're using Citrulline (/Malate) or Arginine (aka ethyl ester, etc) just stop. This does the psycho pump thing fantastically longer (looks like they perfected the time release that seemed so miraculous yet difficult in studies 5 years ago). Don't be fooled by the low amount. Delivery is EVERYTHING with Nitric Oxide precursors. You can seriously feel this effect for a crazy duration. This stuff is a legitimate bodybuilding supplement.
If you're looking for an arginine supplement, then get this one. The sustained-release format is really helpful for eliminating things like tingles, as well as for keeping the benefits working for performance, energy, etc., throughout the day. My subjective experience 100% corroborates Thorne's claim that this supplement supports heart health: it makes me feel...fresher, for lack of a better word, so take that as you will.
This works much better than the generic L-Arginine I was using. I use it to prevent severe cramping and twisting of my legs when I am sleeping, otherwise the pain can be excruciating. I had open heart surgery some years ago and this created problems for my leg where they took the veins. I like the slow release since it gives me all day relief.
