Thyme & Table Blue Marble Stoneware Cereal Bowl Gorgeous Bowls They are wonderfully sturdy and easy to clean. I have yet to fill one to the brim, and they are capable of holding a hearty amount of soup or cereal. Highly recommend! These bowls are perfect. I look for excuses to use these instead of regular plates. They are sturdy, has been through my dishwasher many times, and feel nice and heavy. I want more! Buetiful bowls, one thing to be aware of the absorb the heat of the contents really quick. So be careful around children. But they are very nice and I use them daily. You can never have to many of these! The bowls are absolutely stunning!! I have received compliments on them from everyone that uses them!
Great job with this cereal bowl, it is well-made, heavy but not too heavy. There is not a flaw or a chip anywhere. Colors are very attractive & finish is impeccable. Even on the bottom, the ridge should not scratch, it is covered completely with the clear glaze, so no rough surface.
This bowl is absolutely gorgeous I almost don't want to use it it's so pretty. Marbling is very subtle and then as you spin the bowl around it is very obvious it's just gorgeous. Love at this fool is microwave safe oven safe up to a certain degree and dishwasher safe. It goes perfectly with my white dishes it adds a little bit of an accent color.
I use my Thyme & Table Grey Marble Stoneware Round Cereal Bowl just about every morning it's the perfect size for my cereal, oatmeal or fruit it's just the perfect size for my morning breakfast and with it's gray marble pattern it's matches up with my other dishes plus the stoneware bowl isn't to heavy like some others plus it's dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. I have recommended this to family and friends.
It holds a full serving of cereal with plenty of room to float when I pour in the [chocolate] milk. It is microwave, oven and dishwasher safe...and says so on the bottom of the bowl (a handy place because you never remember after you peel off the sticker). Not a radical pattern so it goes with all my whiteware.
The Thyme & Table makes stoneware in amazing styles and patterns. I chose the Blue Marble pattern with the delicate swirls in the design. I love the fact that it is freezer and microwave safe, plus it is safe in the oven up to 428 degrees. It is stoneware so the instructions tell you not to soak for extended periods, which is something I don't worry about since I was the dishes individually in the sink and there is no soaking. But it is dishwasher safe. What makes this bowl so fascinating is that I can use it in the oven for mac and cheese, freeze the leftovers, and then place it in the microwave when I am ready to eat it. I also use it to make one serving chicken pot pies because the bowl is a perfect size and the crust comes out beautifully in the oven. And my favorite, wonton soup, looks so beautiful when served in this bowl. The instructions also warn that when used in a microwave, the bowl may become hot, so be cautious, which I always am. This is a durable product and being that it is stoneware, it has a nice weight to it which helps with even heating.
The Thyme & Bowl Grey Marble Stoneware CerealBowl is designed ibn the US (New York) and made in China, according to one of the labels put on the bowl, so you could legitimately claim it is "china" if you wanted to, though it is not quite the porcelain fine China that commands a much higher price. I would consider it the practical side of chinaware - good enough for casual and semi-formal dining, but not so expensive you don't otherwise want to use it. This item is part of a set, but I am ony reviweing this piece. But iwouldn't mind having the entire set. I like this particular bowl design and use it every day as my main dish to eat some liquid and semi-liquid food out of, like cereal, soup, yogurt, fruits, and even salads. Before this bowl, I was using a paper bowl. The bowl is also microwave, oven, and freezer safe as well. However, it also has a caveat to not heat the bowl beyond 428 degrees Fahrenheit, and soak it for a prolonged time (but no guidance on what a "prolonged time" is). Other than those caveats, I;d say its a win.
This bowl is much heavier than I expected. It says it is made of durable stoneware. It weighs 453 grams or 1 lb. If feels durable and substantial. If you accidently bump it in the sink or counter, it won't break really easily. The edges are thick. It has a good size bottom, and tall sides, so it's great for holding anything you need. I use it for cereal. I've also used it for sitting out on the counter just to hold nuts on our counter, or small fruits like grapes. The color is a marble look of white and blue swirled together. Very pretty. It only came with 1 bowl. I do wish I had a set of bowls instead of just 1. But it works for me and my needs and how I'm using it. A great thing about the bowl is that it can go in the microwave, oven, freezer and is dishwasher safe. It fits easily in the top rack of a dishwasher. Of course, it will get hot in the oven or microwave, so for sure you will want to use oven mits when putting it out from heating food in it. IT is 5.9" X 2.3", so it does have taller sides than some bowls.
The Thyme And Table stoneware marble bowl is beautiful. Well, mine was but it is broke. The description states that it is microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe as well as oven safe up to 428 degrees. Upon looking at the pieces, the bowl is a decent thickness. The marbling color is beautiful. I do love how the blue color is swirled around into the white, giving it that marbled look. This bowl would be great for soups, stews, cereal, ice cream and desserts. It is a good sized bowl which, in my opinion, would hold more than one portion size. I have to say it is well made as long as it is handled appropriately. Mine was broken before it arrived. It has a heavy weight to it. I may attempt to glue the pieces and use it as a succulent planter if all the pieces fit. I am very disappointed that I don't get to add this to my kitchen collection but there is nothing I can do. As for this bowl, I would recommend but I recommend purchasing it in store and not having it delivered. It is safer and you can check it to make sure all is in one piece before buying.
I was on the hunt for a bowl that would be great for broths for a generous portion. This bowl is very stylish it has a marble print and seems to be a thick well made product. I was just hoping it would have been a bit deeper this would work for cereal but not for broths. The hunt is still on.
