The plate is a great plate especially if you are eating something that has juice or a liquid. The plate is has raised edges almost like a bowl. It’s not a very high raised edge but enough to stop any liquids/juices from spilling. I had the pleasure of eating a cold slice of watermelon (my most favorite summer fruit) on the plate. The right watermelon will certainly be juicy. The plate helped me not to waste juice onto the floor as I carried it to my sunroom to eat in the evening as the sun went down. The plate has a marble look. I do think the plate would be nice in a set. The plate is large enough to hold large portions for someone with a huge appetite. It also could be used by an older child whose responsible enough to eat on a large plate. I’ve eaten spaghetti and meatballs on the plate. Meatballs tend to roll all over the plate. This plate prevented the meatballs from hitting the floor. I’ve also eaten other pasta meals on the plate and experienced no issues at all. The plate is certainly my new go to plate. I actually get upset if someone attempts to use the plate. Everyone in my home knows it’s “my plate”. I will actually consider buying a set so my family can stop thinking I’m being mean about no one using my plate. I would like to at least have 6-8 plates so I can use them to when I’m entertaining guest at a summertime outdoor barbecue with some of my closest friends and family.
Size is big. This color is more brown tones. Plate is heavy. Really like how it has deep ridges around it so good can not roll off of plate. Plate seems sturdy and well made. Big size which is nice. Dishwasher safe but does not fit nicely in my plate slots because they are more narrow.
This dinner plate by Thyme & Table is so pretty!!! I got it in the beautiful blue marble color. I love how it has a raised edge on it. The design is so pretty too. It looks really nice and feels like it is made very well. It’s my favorite plate to eat out of now. I will definitely be buying lots more of these plates. I absolutely love them! I highly recommend if you want very affordable, beautiful, well made plates.
This is not your average dinner plate. Thyme and table made a really beautiful piece of tableware. I intend to use it as a centerpiece for fruit, pastries, or even a cake platter. It is quite heavy, and beautifully glazed in a swirly design. But subtle, not garish. It has a tiny flaw, a raised dot near the middle. But I can overlook it. If I were buying a whole set, I would carefully inspect each item, to avoid any flaws, but for my purpose this dish is fine. I particularly like the raised rim. Nice plate!
I love my new marbleized dinner plate. Besides being beautiful, it has a little lip on the side which prevents sauces from running over the plate. It is good sized and each pattern is slightly different from the others. You can buy them individually or in a set. It is very solid, has good weight and is dishwasher, freezer and oven safe to 425 degrees. It is made from stoneware. It didn't seem to scratch easily but my plate has several pits in it. Not happy about that. They may not all have them so check carefully. All in all, I really like this plate from Thyme and table. I searched for it so I could buy more but couldn't find this pattern anywhere. I would recommend this to my friends and family.
These are so versatile they can be used for dinner parties to every day use. You could even display them, they look that amazing! My wife and have been looking for something that looks high end but wasn’t going to break the bank. These exceeded our expectation. The set has a really nice marbling of blue throughout and it really makes this pop. I will be purchasing the whole collection! Very pleased!!
The Thyme and Table Grey Marble Stoneware Dinner Plate is my go to plate! I love this sturdy and durable dinner plate! I love the high edges that prevents food from sliding off the plate. This plate can even be used as a serving plate because of its style. This plate is large enough to fit your main and sides on. I love the fact that I was able to put this plate in the microwave to defrost some appetizers, then immediately place it in the oven to bake the appetizers. This plate is also freezer safe and dishwasher safe. Now you really can't ask for anything more! I love eating my dinner using this stoneware dinner plate. I love the grey color as well! I would definitely recommend the Thyme and Table Grey Marble Stoneware Dinner Plate.
I absolutely love the Thyme & Table dinner plate. It is made of stone and has a marbled finish all the way through. I love that it has a lip. It is not only dishwasher safe but can be put in the microwave and freezer. The plate will get hot in the microwave. It can also withstand heat in the oven up to 428°F. I will be using this plate mostly for cakes. My family tends to eat from disposable plates. However, on occasion, it will used for meals with rice and gravy. The plate is beautiful and is perfect for my Bundt cakes. I'm looking forward to making my grandmother's chocolate cake, which has a cooked icing and usually flows off the sides of a regular plate and using this plate. I would like to get other colors to add to my collection.
I like the plates, but whatever you do, do NOT order them online. I wanted a set of 14 salad plates and 14 dinner plates. I received so many broken plates that I had to pick up the last 2 in Pleasanton (also not the best experience) to make sure I got them in one piece. I returned a total of 14 broken plates and they were shipped in many different boxes… 2 and 3 at a time sometimes. On top of receiving box after box with broken shards of stoneware that made a mess in my house, I also had a ridiculous amount of packaging to deal with. Such a horrible, disappointing experience!
