I was very reluctant to purchase these pencils because of all the bad reviews saying that they came broken from the inside. Initially what I noticed when I opened the package is that the plastic was open and the box was opened like it had been dropped or something. I immediately thought this is going to be bad. I got all the pencils out, from the opened pack and sharpened them. I’m happy to report that they were all perfect. None were broken from the inside and they all work well. For the price I paid I’m so satisfied with my purchase. I will note I use an X-acto school pro pencil sharpener to sharpen my pencils which I highly recommend.
I have been using Ticonderoga and . pencils literally since late grade school. I will not say how long ago that is but I recall Gerald Ford was President. These are the only pencils I will buy and the only pencils in our house. They are uniformly good, stay sharp for a decent amount of time, and have good erasers.... So what is not to like?
At the beginning of the year, teachers put out a list. Half way through the year a lot of that is gone. So I bought two of these bundles, put two boxes in gift bags along with some chocolate and will be ganging these on doors of friends of mine that are school teachers.
I buy these at the start of every school year. The teachers in my kids schools request this specific brand of pencil. I’ve found that they last longer and are more durable. This package lasts us the whole year at home and school so it’s also a great value for us!
I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in this purchase. I have used this brand for years with no issues and this last order I made every single pencil had broken lead. My students have not been able to use any of the pencils. The pic I am posting is of a new pencil that had broken lead every time it was sharpened. It then completely fell out of the pencil. This happened to nearly every single pencil.This is very frustrating when I am working on a budget and trying to keep enough materials in stock, but they are garbage.
Teacher requested and I understand why after homeschooling my own kids the last months! These pencils sharpen perfectly and dont break. The lead doesnt not fall out of them like other crappy pencils with fun designs. I will only buy Ticonderoga pencils from here on out.
I'm a teacher and a solid believer in ticonderoga pencils...until this batch. I've had multiple pencils splitting completely in half. They are too expensive for poor quality. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I hope they change whatever the problem is.
Best pencils
sharpens to a very sharp point
Ticonderoga wooden yellow %232 pencils 24 count. I was charged $17.59. Today as they arrived the Walmart website says they cost $8.42. Turns out we had enough pencils for back to school. I'll be sending these overpriced ones that cost me nearly 18 dollars back.
