Serve as an anytime snack, or with Tiger Tiger pickles as a starter to your Indian meal. Product of India. To Deep fry: 1. Heat 2-1/2 inch oil in a large frying pan or wok, until very hot (200 degrees C). Helpful Hint: Drop a piece of puppodum into the hot oil, if the oil is hot enough the puppodum piece should immediately start to bubble and expand. 2. Deep fry each puppodum individually, hold beneath the oil with a fork or spatula until the puppodum has increased in size and cooked for 2 to 3 seconds. 3- Lift the puppodum from the hot oil, drain and stand upright on kitchen paper. Allow to cool and crispen. To Microwave: 1. Lightly brush the puppodum on both sides with vegetable oil. 2. Place the puppodum in your microwave, cover with kitchen paper and cook on high power for approximately 45 seconds, until the puppodum has expanded. All microwaves differ, you may need to cook slightly longer or shorter than stated above.
