I bought this to go on a swing set we just purchased. I see a lot of parents hanging this on hooks outside from their side railings and that's a good idea too but we attached ours on the top railing of the swing set. He loves this swing (He's 1) and he loves swinging with his older brother at the same time in the same place. No assembly required...just take it out and set it up! Takes 2 minutes max. I love it.
I bought this for my 1 yr old grandson for my house he loves it. I like the fact it doesn't have the bar in front and the 5 pt harness is nice. At 1st it was difacult to put him in it I think he thought he was going in the car seat but now he likes it. I do wish the ropes were longer and hung a little different from the tree. I'm sure we will use it more when it get warmer.
It is everything expected especially as I reviewed the comments before purchasing and acquired some extra chain to lower the swing for easier access and higher swing potential.
I bought this swing because of safety. It has a 5 point harness that totally keeps the child intact. I was very pleased with it and think it's probably the safest one you can buy
I purchased the Toddler Swing for My Great grandson's 1st. Birthday. He's a swinging little guy and out growing his Infant swing. It's hung in Their patio for hours of fun no matter what the weather. I selected this swing for the safety belt feature.
This product is perfect for a one year old. Some babies are larger than others and the swings with the plastic piece that comes up over their belly sometimes is too tight. Lesson learned from my grandsons swing. This one has a 5-pint harness that allows you to tighten or loosen the straps to accomodate your childs body. I love it and so does she. The only thing that would be nice is if the ropes were a little longer and with them being longer, adjustable. Where we had to put it was about chest level to me, 5'8" and it was too high for her, we had to find rope and hang it that way. There should be additional rope or an extended rope that can be hooked onto the rope on the actual swing. But I love the product, well made and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
My 11 month old son loves it! We hung it in our basement to enjoy during the cold months and will move it outdoors once the weather is warmer. The only problem I have with it is that it looks a little uncomfortable to sit in but he doesn't seem mind. ENJOY!
Overall, this is a great, safe swing for older babies/toddlers. I would have liked it to have longer ropes so it would swing a bit higher, and not be so high off the ground (ours is mounted on swingset). The ropes weathered terribly, so we will replace them anyway. Atleast wrap the area where hands grip on with electrical tape, because once weathered for a few months, the rope released splintery fibers. The harness is easy to use and makes me feel child is very secure. Overall, a good buy, plastic holds up well as far as sturdiness and fade resitant factors.
This is the perfect , inexpensive swing for a toddler, my daughter loves this swing, she can now swing with her older brother. We strap her in and are confident she is safe when we swing her. The belt is a little hard to snap and unsnap but I'm sure with time and use it will become looser to snap.
I bought this product hoping to convert a swing I already have in my backyard to a toddler swing. Unfortunately, the cheap nylon ropes that came with the swing were too short to allow much of a swinging motion. The design thoughtfully allows for the need of different length ropes on each side (as was the case with my tree-mount) but this means that the seat easily shifts to be on an angle. I tried tying knots in the rope close to the seat to stop this, but this only made the rope length shorter. Finally, the seat was almost too small for my 15-month old, who weighs 26 lbs. I was dissappointed in this product from the Step2 brand, which I've had only good experiences with so far.
