This was very easy to install and its easy to open and close. Its withstands tugging on by the my 18 month old and it feels sturdy and safe. I like the color white and the design is nice. I like this better than our tension gates we have used in the past because this one is easiest to open and close when my hands are full with the easy swing door. I would recommend to others.
This is a must have for those with stairs. This is adjustable and fits in many different areas. It looks really nice. It is easy to use and to set up as well. This is great quality too. I feel so much more comfortable having this with my baby. Great product
This Northstate baby gate is beautiful and very durable. It came well packaged and was easy to install following the instructions it came with. This gate has great quality and it's easy to open and close. This works perfectly for our stairs and we do love it.
This Northstates security gate is a good gate. It swings open by pushing the release handle, which is located on the opposite side of the gate (away for toddler). The gate fits openings from 27” to 41” wide. It is a solid gate, but please be aware that mounting requires drilling holes in wall and banister for mounting sockets on both sides (hinge side and opening side). There are 2 sockets on each side equaling 4 sockets, using 4 screws per socket.
This Stairway Secure Gate from Toddleroo by North States is not just for stairs. It can also be used in doorways. The width can be adjusted from 27” to 41”. The height is 27”, a good height for babies and small pets. We installed the gate a few inches above the floor, so the gate sits up higher, and the cat can easily go under the gate. The grid pattern presents a nice solid barrier. The gate construction is heavy duty plastic; a good choice for outdoors. Two items some people may not like UNTIL they realize the safety purpose for them: 1. This is NOT a pressure gate; it must be mounted to walls, posts, or door frames. I would never use a pressure gate at the top of stairs! 2. This gate swings open in only one direction. You do not want a gate opening out over a staircase! The gate opens away from the stairs, to give you safe clearance to go down the stairs. Last item: the latch is not the easiest to operate. I deducted one star for this reason.
This Toddleroo by North States gate is overall a nice solid gate. The width is adjustable to 27 to 41 inches wide. This is a great gate for keeping toddlers or pets confined in safe areas or away stairs. It is taller than our previous gate that our growing toddler and puppy could almost lean over. My only complaint is the swing opening is somewhat inconvenient because you have to line up the latch each time you walk through to secure it. Otherwise it is a nice gate.
Decent design. This was. A little hard to unpackage because the hardware was wedged in between the two sides of the gate. A little complicated to install even though the instructions were pretty clear. It is a decent design and pretty easy to use. Kind of flimsy that's why I gave it three stars.
The Toddleroo North States baby gate is a bit flimsy. I wish there was an option to adhere this to a doorway other than the use of screws. The adjustable pressure mount gate designed to fit in most doorways or hallway openings is not so easy to adjust. I noticed the baby gate only slides open and shut when the tracks are aligned perfectly. Sometimes it was difficult to shorten the gate after expanding it. I have to literally turn the gate on its side to shorten the gate then hope it is the correct width for the door because I could not achieve the width while the gate was upright because it would rarely adjust. This North States gate is an obstacle in itself I would never recommend this one to anyone. It feels flimsy, it looks flimsy, and adjusting the width is equivalent to crossing my fingers and hoping that it moves, type of situation. I have had many gates and by far this is the worse gate I have ever had. Maybe it is one of those hit or miss items. Nevertheless, this one is not for me.
Didn't come with instructions so I was clueless what went where and how to assemble. I know it shouldn't be that difficult, but I can't figure it out! I tried and tried. I can see where u can screw it to the wall on either side but I'm confused on how to open it if you do that? From one side maybe it opens like a door. I really don't want to have to screw it to the wall anyway because I need to use it in other areas of the house for our fur baby. Basically, I set it at the bottom of the stairs so she couldn't go up. But 1 pounce on it and it would've knocked over. This gate is a no for me, Mainly because I would need to use it in more than one place (after figuring out how it works)
