I often forget it's not from meat and I so much enjoy it oh wow so does my cat he actually begs for it when I'm fixing a sandwich , good fur baby :)
My daughter and I love these! They're perfect for school/work lunches. For a quick and easy sandwich I toast two prices of whole wheat bread, spread mayo on one slice then top with mustard and pickles. Then I put the tofurkey in between and put the other slice of toast on. Makes a quick non soggy sandwich. If I have extra time I put sliced tomatoes and lettuce on the side to add later. I've been vegetarian my whole life, my daughter has a mixed diet. Both of us love the taste and consistency of this. Highly recommend!!!
I like that these slices are an easy option for sandwiches for lunch. I dislike that they are a little dry. I add peppers and spicy mustard to my sandwiches to enhance the flavor. Overall they're a good option for quick vegan lunch when you're in a rush and don't have time to make something healthier.
I'm relatively new to vegan food products but this is disgusting. I took one bite and spit it out but nonetheless I continued making a sandwich thinking that the Dijon mustard and mayo would help…NO IT DID NOT 🤢 I was so adamant about this because I loved the amount of protein in it, calories and that it's feeling/texture 90% feels like lunch meat (that's why I gave it 2 stars only), if I was rating based on flavor solely then -5 because this tastes exactly like what you'd imagine wet cat food tastes like. It's so salty tasting and just tastes gross. Idk how anyone can look at your with a smile and straight face and be like “yeah this is good” because you're lying. I even asked my husband to try it and he literally couldn't even finish chewing. It's a no and never again from me.
I couldn't get pass the smell !! It smells just like dog food 😩 I just couldn't it turned me all the way off for vegan food
I love tofu and other plant based foods but this item WILL NEVER be on my list to eat/buy again. Horrible in every way. Can't get the taste out of my mouth. 1 bite, spat it out and still haunting my taste buds. Immediately went into the trash.
i disliked the texture or flavor it tasted really salty. Maybe mine was spoiled or not properly refriderated when delivered late i do not recommend this item
Flavor: salt and nothing but. Texture: tough and leathery. I ate one slice, then threw away the package. Don't waste your money.
If you have no respect for your taste buds this is for you! The smell is not pleasant. On the upside, my dogs enjoyed it. It did not go to waste. I know that I'm blessed to be able to get food. This just wasn't for me.
