I love Irojiten colored pencils! I bought 4, 5, & 6 set of these a few years ago. They color wonderfully and do not break when you sharpen them. Thanks for a great product Tombow!
You could think of birds of paradise, toucans, jaguars, cedar waxwings, bold graphical abstracts, if you can think of it, this set will help you paint it, with pencils. Irojiten pencils really make deeply satisfying optical mixes of layered color. Ranging from the dark jungle floor, colors of shadow and silence to the streets of Shanghai or Manhattan, colors of imagined worlds, this library of colors meets the need.
They are very smooth and easy to blend a shade! They sharpen to a point without breaking!
I would recommend these for anyone who enjoys using colored pencils. I got these in hopes of being able to better shade my drawings, and these pencils do blend nicely! The colors are all very vibrant and beautiful in the rain forest dictionary, and are perfect for my needs. The only downside that I have found with them is the price; it is a little more expensive than my budget would like it to be! I gave them a four star because of this.
Im lucky enough to have been gifted someof these and they are lovely to draw with. Do they have a lightfast rating ?
I love these pencils. They are high quality, well engineered and are packaged beautifully. The color groupings I found very intuitive, and probably how I would have chosen groups. On a toothy paper, like Mi Teintes, they are especially amazing.
I really do like these pencils for layering, they are a harder lead that needs to be built up. I've been using them with my polychromos and they go well togethef. The colors in this set are also beautiful, very pastel, unlike anything else I have.
These pencil are like a soft breeze. I have all 3 sets and use them to get the delicate colors of flowers in my coloring books. I do mainly nature themes and a strong selling point for these pencils is they have a very unique color palette that I don't have in any of my other sets. And I own every other major set. The colors are not deep and intense, and the pencils are waxy and have a learning curve. They are much better suited in my opinion for color into color blending, rather than building up layers...they don't seem to top layer well. They remind me of a better quality Kori Noor they have that type feel when you use them. They do have very interesting nature based colors and I have come to appreciate they way I can get a very delicate petal like look with them for flowers. They sharpen well, have a good casing...no cracks or falling out leads. I wouldn't recommend them as your end all and be all colored pencil sets...but as a unique sub set especially if you like interesting colors they are fun to own. Jerry's offers a line of five pencils in different tones which is nice, and offers a chance to give these pencils a try.
These pencils are not very soft and are extremely light I was expecting a pastel color to do things like macarons these are even to light for that
