I have to give this product a thumbs up!! I have very sensitive skin so I have to watch closely what products I use because my skin could get very red and irritated quickly. Toms has made other natural products and again they did very well. The bar comes in a box but it also has a plastic wrap , which to me ensures the fresh smell. The size is 4 oz. which is a good average size beauty bar. The packaging is nice I love the big bold bright letters "sensitive" on the box ; clearing letting you know it's for sensitive skin, very eye catching. I couldn't wait to try this product for my bed time bath and let me tell you why; not only is this product natural and for sensitive skin it also has chamomile . For those who don't know chamomile is a flower, that is known for its relaxing qualities; normally I get it in herbal tea form and have a cup of tea whenever I need to relax. Chamomile works so great to relax you after a long hard day; so I was extremely excited when I see this ingredient is added to the soap. So no you have a bar of soap that's natural, for sensitive skin and has a relaxing agent in it, how awesome!! Ok , so the smell is a nice fresh sent that is soothing and lasting durning your bath and after. Your skin feels clean and smells so gently fresh, and leaves your skin feeling so soft , not dry like some other soaps I have used. Post my bath I can tell that the chamomile is definitely working, I feel clean, fresh, and very relaxed. What a great combination , I never thought I would have this in soap form, now I can skip my night time tea if I want. Very great product , I would recommend this if u have sensitive skin and also for those who don't . This is really a great product , and you will not be disappointed.
Having dry and sensitive skin, it is a plus, a must to make sure that you are using something that Is beneficial to your skin. Something that will not dry out your skin, irritate your skin or cause you any discomfort from the dryness.i have heard of this soap and I have also heard that it was a soap that is perfect for sensitive skin. But me being skeptical, I just honestly never tried it. But this soap is perfect for anyone with sensitive skin. It is made for sensitive skin, it is also made from all natural products, this soap isn't tested on animals and it Is scent and fragrance free. Meaning that you don't have to worry about breaking out. If you want a soap that is perfect for sensitive skin, you will not go wrong with this soap.
I am a Spark Reviewer for Walmart and was sent a free 4oz. Tom's of Maine Beauty Bar for Sensitive Skin with chamomile to review. I was really excited to try Tom's of Maine because they have an excellent reputation for making quality products and they are socially responsible from start to finish in making, packaging and testing their products. The bar is a beautiful, silky smooth, pearly colored soap. I have only had it for two days now, but what a difference this is from other bars. In my attached photo you can see that it lathers up very nicely. I have used it for two days in my daily routine for washing my face and have noticed a very real change in the way my face feels. My skin feels softer, clean, not oily, and not dried out. I have noticed over the years that too many products have scents and so many additives, and after awhile your skin takes a beating from so many different things being applied to it and from the abuse we take from weather no matter where you live. There have been many times that I will use a product and start itching from it, break out or have redness from the harshness, but not with the Tom's of Maine. Whether or not you have sensitive skin, this bar can give your skin a much needed break. I really like that all the ingredients are listed on the package (such as chamomile, glycerin, jojoba seed oil, olive oil and vitamin E) and you can go to their website to see all the ingredients, where they come from and how they use them, which is important if you have any allergies to anything, but for my review I did not want to go to the website, I just wanted to give an honest opinion from my own personal experience. For my review I have so far only used the bar for my face, but I think that I will try a shower with it next. Since it made my face feel so nice, I think the next step is a full body shower using the beauty bar.
Finally found a soap I can use on my hands. I have skin allergies and have to use gloves to wash dishes,most soaps irritate my hands so I was extremly happy to get this soap. It is apparently as good as it says on the label and for people like me who need to wash their hands but don't want to end up with itchy irritated hands. The fact that no animal testing is used is a huge plus to me as well.
I'd like to begin by saying that before I received this sample I had never hear of Tom's of Maine, so I had no frame of reference to go by. To be honest, I really didn't expect it to work. I've tried so many brands of soaps in the last few months on my daughter that were supposed to be for sensitive skin and such but she had some form of reaction to all of them whether it was a flat out rash or itching after using the soap. We've been using this for over a week now and nothing. No rash, no itching, nothing. Previously to this the only thing that we could use was baby soap and that really didn't feel like we were getting her 100% clean, so I am very happy with this soap. It really is for sensitive skin and hypoallergenic. I am not very familiar with this brand of products but if the other products are anything like this one, Tom's of Maine is definitely worth giving a try. I am so happy I decided to select this sample . I am going to definitely buy this product and recommend it to anyone who is having problems finding products for sensitive skin.
I like to use a fragrance-free soap made for sensitive skin as I have had problems in the past with soaps causing dry skin and itching, especially if they are heavily scented. I was interested in trying Tom's of Maine for sensitive skin due to their claims that they are dermatologist tested, hypo-allergenic, and made with all natural ingredients. No artificial or synthetic ingredients are used. The first time I used it I was pleasantly surprised to see that it lathered well and felt slippery and smooth. I was more pleasantly surprised that my skin felt “squeaky clean”, like the old shampoo commercial described your hair after using their product. I use this soap daily on my face, and also in the shower. It makes me feel clean with no itching or dryness. I would definitely recommend this soap from Tom's of Maine whether you have sensitive skin or not.
I selected Tom's of Maine Natural Sensitive Beauty Bar Soap to review. When I unboxed / unwrapped the bar I was pleased to find that there was not a heavy scent as I expected for a soap for sensitive skin. I used this product twice to prepare for this review. I also had my daughter use it since she definitely has very sensitive skin. We each have our own bath “poof” and it quickly was covered with lather without a lot of effort. I also just grabbed it and applied to my wet skin, again there was a lot of lather. My skin felt really clean and soft after my bath. There didn't seem to be a unusual loss in remaining bar size after both baths/shower sessions. This leads me to believe that this bar of soap will last through a lot of baths. My daughter found that the soap worked good on her skin. I would recommend this soap!
I am now a TOM'S fan. I have allergies and very sensitive skin. . I am always on the hunt to relieve symptoms. I decided to give TOM'S of Maine a try. I was pleased to see that they also offered SENSITIVE UNSENTED BEAUTY BAR. The UNSENTED beauty bar contains soothing Chamomile? Today my arm was very dry and itchy, when I showered I used my new bar of TOM'S sensitive UNSENTED beauty bar. The dry skin itch is gone. I am very happy with this product. The beauty bar is made at TOM's right in the USA. ( always happy to see made in the USA) . TOM'S iS also made of some premium moisturizing olive oil and natural vitamin E. . I love that this bar is hypoallergenic and contains chamomile all great for you skin. So glad I tried TOM'S Of Maine. I am now a fan.
Tom's sensitive unscented beauty bar is perfect for the person who is discriminating about skin products and wishes to avoid added unnecessary ingredients which many of the mainstream brands include in their soaps. Devoid of chemicals and animal tallow, this soap can be especially helpful for those with skin conditions such as eczema, seasonal sensitivities or immune-related skin disorders. It does contain anthemis nobilis (chamomile) flower oil, which is soothing, as well as jojoba and vitamin E. I have recently had a problem with a generalized dermatitis of the hands and fingers which was not immediately attributable to any one contact item, but since using this soap, the symptoms have abated. I could indeed not detect any odor and although the bar is not completely colorless, it is a very natural color, perhaps imbued by the flower oils. The soap sudses nicely, a very soft, silky suds, and seems to rinse completely, leaving behind no residues to create itchiness. I did notice my skin was somewhat less moisturized with this soap than that of other chemically-enhanced brands, but it was not bothersome. Although I have only used the soap for three weeks (and the embossed logo is still very visible), I cannot predict if it will be as long-lasting as other natural soaps; if so, it would make it worthwhile to invest the extra money and purchase this brand.
Tom's of Maine Natural Sensitive Beauty Bar Soap was received from the Wal-Mart Spark Review Program. When it comes to soaps and lotions I am very picky. I suffer from sensitive skin and some things can and will irritate my skin really bad. When I selected this item I was worried about it irritating my skin. Well to my surprise, it did not bother my skin at all. I actually enjoyed the soap and it maybe something I consider purchasing in the future. It did not dry out my skin and it did not irritate my skin at all. Before selecting this item through the Spark Reviewer Program, I had never heard of this soap at all. This is something I would highly recommend to others.
