Great Phone! Easy pickup at store
i got a 90 dollar check for my first week of work and i desperately needed a phone so i bought this with a 55 dollar straight talk plan and it does a lot more than you think it would for thirty dollars the only downside is the low storage but its av 30 dollar phone so i wasn't expecting what i got out of it it plays games pretty well i have no problem playing ingress or clash royale on the screens runs 720p and the battery lasts an unusually long time but it takes forever to charge the cameras junk but i knew that before buying the phone it didn't matter much to me
No problems with the phone itself. Good bang for the buck. First smart phone for this senior citizen. Only downside, the booklets that came with the phone had tiny print and light blue ink and were barely readable. I was surprised that there were so many cases available for it on Amazon. However, Tracfones foreign-based customer service is terrible. It took many days and lots of phone calls talking to persons who can barely speak and understand English to get them to finally roll our 3000 minutes from our old 2G phone to the new phone so we could activate it.
Bought to replace Samsung core prime. The camera is bad and poor battery life. Other than that it does better than the Samsung. Lollipop OS works great. Needs more RAM and internal memory. For a simple phone it's OK.
I had to get a phone in a hurry due to the original one from Safelink/Tracfone suddenly died on me after moving to another state and needed to set up my life again. This phone is ok, not the best and not the worst. If you don't have a lot of money and are in need of a way to get in touch with the basic stuff then this phone is the one for you.
If you want a smart phone that can do basic web surfing and has a good camera this is the one for you. Anything else forget about it. It has 8 gigs of storage but at least 4.9 gigs of it are taken up by the *2* operating systems and the pre-installed apps you can't remove. I kid you not there are 2 operating systems on here: Android Core and the main Android 6 operating system. The Android Core basically is the layer that TracFone has wrapped around a standard Android 6 OS. After you setup the phone it will reboot, the TracFone logo will come up and then the PIN pad. Enter your pin your phone will reboot, the TracFone logo will come up again. Then you can get in the full Android system. That blue and white logo is supposed to only show once. Also putting an SD card in the phone is practically useless. You can't move any apps to the SD. that feature has been turned off. So if you install any third party apps your memory is used up. The battery life me has been great. It usually charges in a few minutes. But I think thats because they sacrificed battery life for the slowest process that could run Android 6. My recommendation: only get this if you need a cheap smart phone for the absolute basic. Otherwise just get a flip phone.
Volume settings are maxed and I hear no notifications, ringtones, alarms, music, nothing. Can hear when talking to someone but just barely. Had it 5 days. Piece of c.r.a.p. My LG3 messed up and I needed a phone immediately because I'm job hunting. I'm missing calls for interviews because I can't hear them come in! Tried listening to iheart with earbuds. Thought they were bad, pulled them out, could only hear the music by holding the phone to one ear while plugging the other with a finger. Seriously?
If i had known before i bought this phone that I would have to charge every single day to be able to use I wouldn't have bought it. It never seems to find any wi-fi hot spots so I can never use the wi-fi that is supposed to be on it. It keeps telling me it has no memory but wants to update items. Now it is telling me that my voicemail box is going away after my having this phone 6 1/2 months and the instructions tracfone sent about fixing the voicemail system make no sense and their customer service over the telephone and online is always inadequate.
First I understand this phone is only $40; however, this phone is not even able to hold its own information to run by itself. This phone updates the apps on the phone than says "it is out of space and you need to delete files". The box clearly states it has 8 gigabytes of storage; however, when you get the phone it really only has 4 gigabytes of information and this is not even enough memory to run the android and google operating system. This phone is a total waste of my $40 and I might as well have just flushed it down the toilet. It is sad that this phone is even on the market in this day and age. This phone is the perfect reason why our landfills are full of electronic garbage polluting the earth. I know the phone is cheap; however, it should atleast be able to run its own system and let you install google chrome and the basic applications. The only reason to purchase this phone is if you want to have a really expensive paper weight because it will not serve the basic purposes of googling, texting, calling, ect. After it updates it is no longer a usable phone.
You can fully charge the battery and it barely lasts a day. I bought the phone at walmart. The problem is there are two walmarts in the area and they don't have a case, or a screen protector for it. You would think if they sell the phone, they should sell things that go with it. The other problem is to find someone to wait on you.
