Love this phone! I wish I hadn't waited so long to purchase it. Huge improvement over my SE 1st Gen! Nice size and it still has the home button.
I had an older than dirt apple 5 which wasn't cutting it anymore--but I didn't want anything too different. I read up on the various styles and found the SE was deemed most like the old apple 5--so I went for it. So far, so good. Easy to use and the download and updates went smoothly.
This phone is an excellent choice for those desiring an entry level IPhone with 5G capability at an economical price.
Now that I am up and running I am happy. Setting up was a challenge because my old phone was totally trashed. I really like the size of this phone. My only dislike is there is no earphone jack, but that has been remedied with an adapter. My phone needs are pretty simple and Tracfone keeps me happy.
I love the fact this phone pairs with my Ipad. The only thing I would have liked is a larger screen. It was recommended for affordability for Seniors, and it is, but Seniors could really use a larger screen. I will probably upgrade in the near future.
Buying the phone online was a mistake. Warehouse did not scan the phones numbers before it left the warehouse so this phone isn't recognized by Tracfone and can't be activated. Because all I got were error messages from Tracfone, it's now too late for me to return the phone. I now own a $200 phone that can not be activated
I purchased this phone to upgrade my android TracFone to an iPhone. I've had a TracFone account for about 15 years and I have never had an experience as I did around this phone. They couldn't activate it, so I returned it, and bought a new one. I couldn't activate that one either. I probably spent 15 hours on the phone with people in another country that I could barely understand who kept telling me that they couldn't fix the problem. I also spent two hours on the phone with Apple just to verify that nothing was wrong with the phone. Nothing was wrong with the phone. It's just that TracFone sucks. All the reviews left on this page where the TracFone representative replies and says that they want to solve the problem is bogus. They just wanna look like they're trying to help. They don't help at all. I was hung up on today with yet another representative. I then went to the AT%26T store and moved all three phones in my family. I had to purchase two new phones to make the move because these tracphones are locked unless I can activate them for 60 days, which I can't do. It's too late to return them to Walmart. I am so happy to be done with this awful company.
This review is not for the Iphone 3rd Gen itself, but for the Tracfone service, as I am unable to use the phone yet... I ordered this phone to replace a Tracfone Iphone SE 2nd Gen that I've had a few years with no issues in service. It's been nearly a week and the new phone is still unable to be activated by Tracfone. I have both chatted online on their website and called their support phone number (at this point nearly 10 different Tracfone representatives have attempted to transfer my account and activate the new phone and none have been successful). They are stating that with the addition of the eSIM in this 3rd Gen phone, that there have been issues/errors trying to activate them. I am going to attempt to speak with one more representative this week and if they are unable to activate the phone, it will have to be returned. If the issue is resolved and I am able to update this review, I will do so.
Highly do NOT recommend this phone! Spent hours on the phone trying to set it up just to find out the ESIM was connected to Straight Talk not Tracfone. So, after buying a case, screen protector, etc. I have to return it
FedEx delivered the iPhone SE. As you can see in the picture taken by FedEx delivery, the end of the box looks opened; the box was empty! Product was sold and shipped by walmart.com, so no 3rd parties here. After repeated calls to walmart.com customer service, and getting disconnected by customer service agents multiple times, I was told that they would not ship a replacement or provide a refund; they suggested filing a dispute with the credit card company and FedEx. FedEx said that the shipper, walmart.com, had to file shipping claims, which walmart.com customer service refused to do. I've never had any issues with customer support at A*.com!
