The phone works fine. The clarity, the size of the phone, the ease of use is wonderful. The battery seems to need frequent charging for a phone that gets used very little.
I was very unhappy with the smart phone I was using prior to downgrading to this phone. It was a TracFone Samsung Galaxy Centura. The only issue I had with switching was losing more than 50% of the hours I had on the Samsung with TracFone because I downgraded from a smart phone to a flip phone. This flip phone is very light weight, has a very good 3G signal and is easy to use. I am a young senior citizen and must admit I am not smart or patient enough when it comes to smart phones. I am very pleased with my TracFone LG 441G.
This Flip phone is very functional . I bought it for my wife after she ran her previous phone through the washing machine. It was fairly easy to get iton the Trac Phone system with her old number and does everything she needs it to do at a very low price.
Trac Fone is a great company for us senior citizens with limited means & specific needs. Before I discovered them, I had an unwieldy flat phone that I overpaid for, that would accidently turn on in my pocket, when I frequently fumbled locking it off. Then I had my first Flip phone with Trac Fone. It never came on by itself. Since I don't use a cell phone as a home phone, I get the convenience & benefits of staying in touch, FOR EMERGENCIES & my personal use. When my wife leaves home by herself - She takes it with her. Since we only use it when we're away from home, I bought an entire years service with 800 minutes for only $99.99, & I am able to roll over all my unused minutes. I ended up with 1,600 minutes when I recently bought the coming years service. A few words about LG brand flip phones: I love them because they fit easily in my pocket. They are the best engineered & durable phones I have used. The new phone for the upgraded system is amazing - it even talks to me when I dial & engage features. has camera & internet access (which I don't need) ALL FOR AN UNDER $20. PHONE - WOW ! A years cell Phone use for $120. TOTAL. MOST folks Pay that every month for cellular service.
Just had this cell phone activated/had minutes from a different cell phone (a model LG 440G Tracfone that died fast...) and the same cell phone # transferred over to this new LG441G cell phone. Made a few calls on it so far....and I liked the clarity of this new flip cell phone ALOT better than the older LG440G that I had for a very short time...(...before it died...) so all I can say at this point is: so far, so good! I sure hope that I have great luck with this newer & improved cell phone ~ than the last one I owned. Wish me luck !! (Last night, I went online and ordered another spare LG441G cell phone from Walmart...just in case I needed a future "back-up" Tracfone.....but I hope this one will last a long time w/o problems. (Hear that, Tracfone??! Hope so !!)
This is a great phone for the money! The main reason I have a cell phone is to make emergency calls. This phone fills the bill perfectly? Reasonable price to purchase it and a plan that fits my needs! Pick it up, dial the number, and hit send and you are in business! It also does all the things the "TOP SHELF" units do!
For less then $5.00 this newer tracfone is a much better upgrade then the previous tracfone the govt. gave for free. Also got free home delivery, ordered it Mon. & fedex delivered it on Wed. All I had to do was call the toll free number & they transfered my old ph. # and minutes from my old ph. to this new phone all done within 5 min. The old ph. is then deactivated but good to still keep as a spare if ever needed which you won't. The signal strength on this one compared to the old one is excellent. You can also take pics & videos and just email them from this ph. to your computer email acct. The ph. comes with everything you need. The instruction book is very detailed to answer any questions you might have. The main thing is the very fast & easy setup of transfering your old ph. # and min. to this new ph. all done within 5 min. just call the tollfree # for safelink and they will do all the work, very fast & simple.
All I need and want is a basic phone to make a phone call. This phone works fine, and much easer to set up contacts and use than the Alcatel I first tried.
Phone works fine, although it does NOT allow you to directly block phone numbers. TracFone required that I update my existing 2G phone as the networks are phasing out 2G phones. BUT when I was dealing by phone with a TrackFone representative they botched the transfer of my phone number from a similar 2G phone to this new phone. I was told that my local cellphone tower was not programmed properly to accept this particular phone (but I do not believe that excuse). Despite seven calls and at least 4 h of talking to their techincal reps I am assured that my original number that I have had since 1980 is now lost, and apparently it is not retrievable. SOOOO Be careful when upgrading from a 2 g to a 3G phone. I hope that you have better luck that I did
Have no technical problems with this phone; believe that it will work well. Have no problem with the sales and service of Walmart; always helpful. Like flip phones becasue they don't butt dial. The problem with this phone is that it was purchased to replace my old LG Tracfone [Ver 2G] as part of Tracfones 2G migration program. Tracfone unceremoniously deactivated my old phone with about $100 dollars of prepaid service before I could transfer my number and services to this phone. I'm apparently not getting reimbursed so I won't be activating this phone at all. Don't expect to ever purchase another Tracfone item.
