Bought it at Walmart and they set it up for me right there at the counter in about 15 minutes. I think my total was about $30. I have gone through several cheap phones and the ZTE so far has been the best manufacturer. At my work I operate a forklift and phones live a short life- generally 6 months under severe conditions. This is my 3rd one. I figure I could buy 10 of these for less than a more expensive phone that would get get beat up the same way. My only wish is that someone would make another model with the Gorilla glass!!!

I got this phone to simply use as a SD card reader nothing more but was so impressed with its performance and features I had Total wireless switch it over to see how it worked for phone and internet....long story short my LG Premier is now my card reader as the ZTE excelled in every area from better cell reception to much improved internet capability. Though it does have a smaller screen it now fits neatly in my shirt pocket while battery life, and sound quality are also much improved....overall am very impressed....sometimes things just happen.

How about a real view. Sure some people are going to complain that this phone doesn't work like a $100 or $200 phone. So I'm rating it as a $30 phone. I am retired. I am using it on Tracfone. It makes and receives calls as well as any phone. It charges in about 2 hrs, and lasts all day for me for talking, and on days I don't talk it lasts for close to a week before charging. 4-5 hrs is about my talk time experience, It has the ability to user my home router to use for data, saving me using data over the cell network when at home. I have Xfinity home phone, and the connect app allows me to use the phone on my router, saving cell usage as well. The Tracfone app tells me how many minutes are left, as well as data and texts, at a glance. I pay for a $25 card that is good for 2 months, 500 cell minutes, 1000 texts, 500MB data. My usage is only charged when I leave my home, since I am home more than out, and my Xfinity router handles most of the use. The phone is sturdy, and doesn't feel cheap. I bought a case for $6 that it sets in making it feel even a bit thicker. Moving page to page is fast. But bringing up a program is not real fast, but not slow either. Maybe 4 seconds most. The phone uses about 6 GBs of the 8 available on the phone. You have the option to shut off apps you won't use to increase this memory. I have added a 16GB card for $7. The added memory is for pics, movies, songs and the things that usually grab memory. The phone comes with most the apps someone needs, and I use google to store most stuff on my cloud. I can print from the phone, or the cloud. I have synced it with my Google account and get email, messages, etc. The phone is $30. It's well worth $30, and doesn't have many short coming except for people who want to download 50 apps, or want to play games that require a faster processor. The setting menu allows the same as most phones. It is bright enough and has great legible sound. The camera is clear and nice with face recognition. It has a light/flash. Even if it only lasted a year, $30 is a great deal. But I have had it 3 months, and have experienced zero problems. Dan

Met my expectations

I bought this product about 4 months ago. I have used this phone heavily over that time period. The phone has worked well and hasn't had any serious issues. It has excellent battery life and seems to be resistant to damage when it is dropped. In addition to its positive features, there are a few problems. The phone seems to run very slowly at some points. Sometimes, it can take several seconds to load the home screen after I exit an app. Another problem with this phone is that the memory is insufficient. The phone's apps take up a large portion of the memory, allowing very little space for photos or other apps. Given how inexpensive this phone is, its features and battery life are more than I expected, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a way to contact people without the high cost and the extra features of much more expensive smart phones.

It is great except that it has only 8GB, but that can be fixed by buying a Micro-SD card. It supports up to 32GB Micro-SD cards. Easy to use. Great price! I recommend this product. If you don't like Micro-SD cards, then this is not your phone. Very good phone. I don't rate it five stars because there is no perfect phone (there are no problems).

I have to keep reminding myself how much I paid for this phone. For the money, it's pretty good. It has a super strong backlight--like strength of a thousand suns strong. The phone actually has a tendency to get too hot if you have the backlight at ~30%, which is the brightest I ever have it at. Translation: you can see the screen in bright sunlight. It has 8GB of internal memory, in case you didn't see that in the specs. Fine for, oh, 15 or so downloaded apps. The camera is terrible, but it's got a camera, so that's nice. Do not use to photograph your wedding. You will be disappointed. Cat being cute? Go for it. Phone responsiveness is lacking. I'm pretty sure that's due to the small amount of RAM (my average usage is 94%). If you get irritated by devices taking more than a split second to respond to your screen taps, you are going to find yourself throwing this phone on a regular basis. But it survives the throws. :/ Seriously, though, it takes its sweet time to minimize your three apps and load the sparsely populated home screen (like 5-10 seconds). It takes 3-5 seconds to switch from one open app to another open app. Apps can have a tendency to randomly crash or freeze (I've had this happen with Chrome, Bejeweled, Gmail, and the default Messaging app). Translation: really irritating for people who value response times, use more than one app at a time, or use apps often/heavily. Battery life is okay. I can usually get through the day on one charge (though the single-digit percents are probably shortening the overall lifespan of the battery). I think the super bright screen of death probably hurts the battery life more than anything. OH! The phone will beep rapidly when it's reached 100% battery. SO VERY ANNOYING AT 3AM! Call clarity and volume are great. As one would expect since this is, indeed, also a phone. You can't have less than three home screens. Mildly irritating. The alarm on the phone is actually the most complicated phone alarm I've ever seen. Adding an alarm requires setting the time (oh! the humanity!), picking the day you want the alarm to go off (What day is todaaaaaay??), adjusting the number of snoozes (Seriously, who gets up after only three snoozes??), and deciding if you want the darn thing to repeat weekly (Do I really want to go to work next week? Naaaah.). The alarm is also really quiet. (YES I have the alarm volume on max.) I'm not even a heavy sleeper! I've never had an alarm be TOO quiet to wake me up. Until now. Really the most irritating part is having to remember what day it is so I can set the alarm for three hours from now. Gosh. /rant I have a memory card in the phone, and while I can view the amount of data saved on the phone and memory card, I seem to have zero control over what is automatically stored on the memory card. I also can't manually move apps back and forth. I have just over 7G on the phone, and just over 800MB on the memory card. DISPARITY. Ultimately, for the price, this is a decent phone. If you were strapped for cash, need something to get by, or don't have much in the way of demands from your smartphone, this is two big thumbs ups. Avoid if you are impatient AT ALL. Or if you hate your app crashing when you're seconds away from a high score. Or if you need a good camera on your phone. Or if you don't like being woken up by a charged battery in the middle of the night, and then having your alarm be too quiet to wake you up four hours later. Every. Single. Night. #NotBitterAtAll I've forgotten if I intended for this review to be positive or not. I suppose the 3-Star rating fits.

I needed a larger phone to see texts easier but couldn't afford a fancy, expensive one. This model is worse than the smaller ZTE I had. Besides Walmart's Family plan quality of service being gone with Tracfone, this phone is malfunctioning after only 3 months! It constantly freezes and must be Restarted sometimes more than once. It Restarts itself for no apparent reason. When a call comes in, it freezes so you cannot accept or decline. Often you cannot make a call. I worry what would happen if there was an emergency! With hardly any use it needs charging 2x a day! It's 100% charged, go to sleep and it's completely dead and turned itself off when you wake up! Should find service automatically when you leave home. It doesn't. Must search for service. When returning home to Wi-Fi it should automatically reconnect. It doesn't. Restart necessary. Worst garbage ever. Don't waste your money.
