My 5 year old loves this! It is kinda neat too. It's a truck that when you put your hand into the box it transforms into a soft dart shooter. It is heavy though which is why we waited until he was 5 1/2 and did not get it for his 5th b-day. The darts get some distance too!
I bought this toy for my four year old son's birthday. I was a bit skeptical because of the complexity of other transforming toys, but this one was a cinch. Very easy for little hands to hold and convert on their own. While the price for this seemed a bit steep ($28) at first, I quickly realized that it was well worth it.
My child loves this toy as I suspected that he would. He constantly runs around shooting targets and 'getting the bad guys'. When he isn't shooting, he is transforming it back into the truck. It is super easy to transform and use the gun mechanism. Definately a great toy that has kept his attention.
This is a wonderful toy. we just gave it to my 11 yo yesterday for his Birthday. Nobody will let it be. The 19 yo's are chasing each other around with it shooting the whistling darts which add a great effect. Very light weight all enthralled with the way it transforms from semi to gun. Highly reccomend
I purchased this for my son after he fell in love with it at his cousin's house. My son is 4 and has had problems in the past with toys that required "pumping" or "cocking" to shoot the dart. He was never quite strong enough to do it. This toy is NO trouble at all for him to transform or shoot the dart! Even my 12 year old loves playing with this! Its a little pricey but well worth the money. I am having trouble finding extra darts for it. The smaller darts are easy to find, however this requires the larger dart. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
My son (and husband) truly enjoys this toy. It's very easy to switch from truck to shooting mode. As well as fast. The darts shot very fast as well. If playing with another person, not good to stand to close b/c they do go fast and can sting a bit. But it's a lot of fun if played with properly.
I bought it for 2 reasons because it was a TRANSFORMER and also a Semi Truck and he loves both he loved the whole shooting dart thing and it keeps both of my boys occupied very happy with the purchase and glad I was able to find it online cause it was impossible to find in a store, I looked EVERYWHERE!!!!
I would reccomend this product...my eight year old loves it! The darts are soft and don't hurt others as long as they aren't aimed at the face! When he isn't shooting darts he uses it to haul his hot wheels around in.The darts get stuck occasionally so I didn't give it a 5-star,but it's made sturdy and put together well,it will last a long time as a truck!
we got this product for my son who is 5 for christmas, and he loves it, he had a bit of a hard time at first tranforming it from truck to gun but after a few tries he got it and is now a pro...i'm not worried about him hurting his younger sister or my animals or knocking anything over. I would reccomend tho that you look for replacement darts for this product first. it only comes with 3 and they can get lost easliy, my husband and i tried looking for extra darts but had no luck finding them. all in all this is a fun toy.
I bought the Optimus Prime Battle Rig Blaster for my grandson for Christmas and after playing with it for about 10 minutes it broke. The cannon fired the styrofoam darts only three or four times before it broke. My son or daughter-in-law will return it to Walmart and try to get a replacement.
